His eyes flashed open and he shakily inhaled. His whole body was trembling. He started to hyperventilate.

His small bedroom was filled with soft sobs. Fat tears rolled down his cheeks. He wiped his puffy eyes and cheeks before slowly and shakily getting up out of his bed. He checked the time. It read 4:00.

He quickly threw on a hoodie, because he had fell asleep in skinny jeans and a black shirt. He pulled on his black vans.

He grabbed his backpack and quickly shoved a few bottles of pills, a rope, a razor blade, and a notebook. He quietly opened his bedroom's door and walked out. He carefully walked down the stairs, sense it was pitch black. He moved silently through his house and out the front door.

He ran into the forest. He ran and ran until his legs burned and he heaved for air to fill his lungs.

He stopped at an old oak tree. The forest was silent except for the heavy breathing produced by Tyler. It took him a few minute to catch his breath. He collapsed down, leaning against the tree for support.

He pulled out his notebook. His hands were shaking. He flipped through the pages and found the one he was looking for. It was a song that he was writing called Trees. He took a breath and started to sing,

"I know

Where you stand

Silent

In the trees

And that's where I am

Silent

In the trees

Why won't you speak?

Where I happen to be

Silent

In the trees

Standing cowardly" (-Tyler Joseph)

His voice became to shaky to continue. He just sat there and let the silence drown him. He listen to the voice that circled through his head. Quiet tears ran down his face. He reached over and grabbed his razor. He slid the cool medal across his wrist a few times before the voices stopped.

He stood, wiping his red eyes. He grabbed his notebook and pencil once more. He quickly wrote a note. It read,

"Dear who ever finds this,

My name is Tyler Joseph and I killed myself. I know you don't care that you found me hear. So don't lie and say you care. One thing I want to tell you. If you bully or abuse someone you should treat them better or this will happen. I hated life so I ended.

Dear dad,

Fuck you. You caused this.

Dear Mom,

I'm sorry I have to leave you with dad.

Dear Jay and Jack,

Fuck you for not caring.

Dear Maddie,

I'm sorry... I'm so so very sorry... I love you.

-Tyler"

He got up and grabbed the rope he tied the rope to the tree. He tied the noose.

He started to sob. He sobbed so hard. He shoved himself onto the ground and began pounding his fists into the dirt until they where bloody.

He stopped. He felt nothing. His sobbing stopped. He sung Trees again, and this time he made it through to the point to where he hadn't finished. He kept going. He wrote the lyrics down as he went on.

He suddenly stopped when loud, sharp barks rang out through the quiet forest. He scanned the trees looking for the cause of the sound. He was met with a midnight black wolf with piercing red eyes. The wolf stood maybe 40 feet away from where Tyler was.

Tyler stared at the creature with wide eyes. The wolf walked forward about 20 feet before stopping.

Tyler's back was pressed up against the bark of the tree. The bark scratched at his back but Tyler was more worried about the wolf. He was hyperventilating and the memories of his nightmare played in his head again.

The wolf whimpered noticing the boy was scared. The wolf quickly laid down trying to show it wouldn't hurt him.

Tyler relaxed slightly but still had his back against the wood of the tree. He took a mental note that the wolf was quite large but still looked quite young. Tyler guess that the wolf was maybe 4.6 feet long.

The wolf slowly got up and walked forward again but this time slower.

Now it was a few feet in front of Tyler. Tyler could feel the gentle breathing of the wolf on his hand. The wolf was staring at him.

Tyler slowly moved his shaking hand outwards letting the wolf sniff him.

The wolf sniffed his hand and licked it. The wolf then pushed his muzzle into the palm of Tyler's hand. The wolf whined, as if asking why Tyler would kill himself.

Tyler slowly sat down and the wolf rubbed his face against Tyler's. Tyler flinched away but allowed the wolf nuzzle him.

After a while the wolf was seated by Tyler. Tyler was hunched over, drawing a picture of the wolf. Tyler softly hummed one of his songs called Drown. Tyler flinched when he felt the wolf get up.

"Please don't go," He said softly.

The wolf whined almost sounding like I need to go home.

Tyler sigh and nodded the wolf off. The wolf looked over at Tyler with a worried expression. The wolf bark and it sounded like a stay here.

Tyler nodded and went back to his drawing. The sun began to set and the wolf hadn't returned. All of a sudden the wolf trotted out of the woods caring a bag that was slung across his back. The wolf took the bag off and placed it at Tyler's feet. Inside the bag there was food, water, a tent, a sleeping bag, and a flashlight.

Tyler looked around for a level area to set up the tent. Once he found a good spot he got to work. The wolf picked up the flashlight and lit the area Tyler was setting up the tent. After 10 minutes the tent was up and all of the stuff was inside.

Tyler crawled in and shoved himself into the sleeping bag. He patted next to him showing the wolf that it could sleep with him. The wolf climbed in and laid it's head against Tyler's chest.

Tyler snuggled into the soft fur before falling fast asleep.
