This section was added during editing after the main chapters were written. I didn't want to go back and change every chapter so I made them sub chapters even though they are full chapters.

It would only be my luck that the one day that I really need to escape to my spot in the courtyard that it would rain a few minutes before lunch starts. When it rains, I have a back up place, but I don't like the spot as much as I like my table hidden by bushes. This one relied too much on no one adventuring into my section.
The library was the next quietest place in the school. There were some sections that were more crowded than others, but I sat where no one really goes; the poetry section. Everyone floods the new releases or the Young Adult section, but no one really adventures into the poetry section. There have been some times where I stumbled upon a couple getting frisky in the stacks, but I would just find another section to sit down and read.
Most of the times I would just randomly select a book from the shelves and read random poems, but today I wanted to write in my notebook. The scene I had just caused in science had spread to the entire school by the time lunch rolled around. I would like to say that I could ignore everyone easily, but it is easier said then done. People just laughed at me as I passed and joked about me not looking like I had just fainted. Just like how I coped with every other incident I had had during the past month, I wrote about it. Emotions bled out of me and made words on the page. I was engrossed in writing that I didn't hear footsteps approaching me.
"Abigail?" someone said to my left.
Piercing, friendly blues eyes were staring at me. Normally I don't like people interfering with my writing time, but I didn't mind Derrick as much as I minded the whole school.
"Hi, Derrick. What brings you to this section?"
A light pink color formed on his cheeks.
"Honestly, I was just looking at some of the new books in the historic literature section and I was walking past the shelf and saw you sitting here."
Our historic fiction section was even less popular then our poetry section. I never sat there because that was the prime make out corner of the library. The librarians never fixed the books there because they had run into too many students going at it during their free periods.
"I never pegged you for a Historic Literature kind of guy. I figured you would like action or Sci Fi. Maybe some Lord of the Rings or maybe the famous Harry Potter series, but never Beloved or The Kite Runner," I said jokingly. I never judged people for the kind of books they read. I had gotten a lot of mocking because I like to read poetry for fun. People always thought that I was trying to make myself better then everyone else, but really I just liked how the writers got so much emotion into such a small amount of words.
His chuckle made the hairs stand up on the back of my neck. It sounded so pure and genuine, not like he was giving me a pity laugh.
"I'm a history nerd what can I say. Do you mind if I join you?" he said motioning to my notebook, seeing that I was in the middle of doing something.
"Of course. I could use a friend," I said, closing my notebook. Pushing my backpack aside, I cleared the spot next to me for Derrick to sit.
"It hasn't gotten any better since health?" he asked curiously, sitting down a few inches from me. I could tell that he was not just asking to ask; he actually cared if my day was only getting worse.
