"And that'll be $2," the store clerk said, handing Pony the small red box of chocolates. Pony stuck his hand in his pocket and fished out some crinkled bills.
"Thanks," he said quickly before taking the box and walking out the door. Two-Bit was leaning on the wall, grinning at passing pedestrians.
"Why don't you just steal it, Pone?" he said. "It's so much faster!" Pony rolled his eyes.
"That's your thing, Two. Now c'mon, I told (Y/N) that'd I'd be back at the house soon," he waved, walking away. Two caught up with him, lit a cigarette, and sauntered.
"So you gonna marry her or something?" Two motioned to the box. Pony scrunched up his face.
"What?! These are chocolates!" He shook the box for emphasis. Two laughed.
"Uh huh."
"They are!"
"You're in love with her, tough boy," Two tainted. Pony felt his face redden.
"In love with who?" a new voice said. They turned around, Pony more quickly, and saw a girl. It was (Y/N) standing crossed arms and raised eyebrows.
"O-oh, (Y/N)!" Pony stammered. Two-Bit was laughing his head off, and he patted Pony on the back. Taking out his cigarette, he grinned.
"Good luck, horseman," he said, continuing to walk towards the Curtis house.
"Hey, Pone," (Y/N) said with a small smile.
"Uh I thought you were at the house!" Pony said, hiding the box behind his back quickly.
"Was about to get there, but then I heard Two. He's loud," she commented. Pony nodded in agreement. "So whatcha have in your hand?" The brunette widened his eyes.
"N-nothing!"
"I saw the box, Pone," she laughed. Pony sighed.
"Alright. Well, I was gonna give 'em to you when we got back to the house, but here." He handed the box over, and she practically squealed with delight. "I know how you love chocolate and all."
"Aw Pony!" she grinned. "This is so sweet!"
"Literally," Two-But said from behind. They both jumped, and he cackled. "Get it? 'Cause it's candy!" He ran off, hooting as he jumped over a fence.
