Three months. That's how long Fresh sat in his room. For three months, not moving except for to eat a small amount of the food CQ brought into his room. He didn't have the will to cut his wrists.
Error had come into get him for Geno's funeral, but he wouldn't go. Couldn't go. He couldn't bring himself to go to it, as people would see that he had emotions, which wouldn't be a good thing. So he sat there, on his bed, barely moving, never talking, not even whenever Sugar would come by to tell him how Deccy was doing.
Although they weren't technically on speaking terms, Deccy was still quite obviously worried for Fresh. Sugar wasn't giving him good news about the colorful skele, either. Fresh had even skipped school, as had Error. But today was a different day. Today CQ was making them go to school.

"Fresh! Error! Time to get up! School's today!" Error ran down the stairs, as he was already in a lot of trouble for bullying Fresh. Fresh trudged behind, dark circles under his eye sockets. His smile was definitely fake, and his glasses were sitting on top of his hat, completely blank. He didn't say a word as they went to the car and to school.

"Fresh? Are you even lishening? Sugar questioned. They were sitting at the lunch table across from each other. Fresh, who was sipping on a juice pouch (100% organic of course), was staring at the table in front of him while listening to Sugar talk. All he could think about was how Geno was gone, and he wondered where Deccy was, as he was absent, which was rare.
He shook his head slowly as he looked up at his friend. "Well, I wash asking you if you heard about what happened to Deccy." Fresh's eyes widened at that.
"What happened? Is he okay?" He said. His voice was raspy from lack of use. Sugar looked at him sadly.
"He went to the hospital lasht night. Shomeshing about one of his disheashesh shpiking and cracking his shoul." He replied slowly. Fresh quickly put his shades on,hoping they wouldn't betray him and say something on them besides 'yolo'.
He ran out, trying to keep his tears in as he ran to the office. Once there, he ran to the secretary and let the tears flow.
"Child, you're not supposed to wear glasses, it's a dress code viola-Oh dear! What's the matter, dear?" She said, turning around to see Fresh's meltdown."I need to call my momma!" He cried. Not being able to be there for Decans was hurting his soul, yet he didn't understand why. The secretary handed him the phone immediately. He dialed his mother's number completely from memory, and tried to calm himself down so she wouldn't freak out too much. All that was thrown out the window as soon as she picked up, though.
"Momma! Deccy is hurting in the hospital and I need to go to him!" He cried. She told him that she was on her way and told him to get Error as well. Fresh hung up shakily after saying goodbye and handed the secretary the phone. He went and got Error, who kept asking unanswered questions.~∆~∆~∆~∆~∆~∆~∆~∆~
Fresh ran towards the hospital room, his glasses going from 'help', '!!!!', '....', and 'why?'. As he got to the door. He calmed himself down, for Deccy, and walked inside. What he saw hurt him.
In the bed was Deccy. His soul was hovering above him, and was slowly deteriorating. His arms, legs, ribs, and face were all cracked and partially dusted. His eye sockets were slightly open, and his teeth were clenched in pain. Fresh immediately ran over to him and started crying worse than before."Oh my dog, Deccy! I'm so sorry! I'm sorry for making you think I didn't trust you, I'm sorry you are going through this, I'm sorry for everything! I just wanted to keep you safe! But I failed! And now you're even worse! I'm... I'm s-sorry..." Fresh ranted. Deccy just looked up at him as a single tear tolled down his cheek. He smiled painfully, and slowly opened his mouth to speak.
"I-It's okay F-Fresh... I-I want you t-to have a g-good l-life. F-for me... I j-just want y-you to be h-happy, o-o-ok?
Pr-omise me p-please.." He said. Fresh nodded, but Deccy continued. "N-not a n-normal pro-mise. Sk-skele-prom-mise."Fresh hesitated. A skele-promise was an unbreakable bond that, if broken, can be considered treason. After a moment, he lifted his pinky. "Skele-promise." He said. Deccy slowly lifted his pinky as well, and they locked them together. Deccy then lowered his arm, smiled happily, and closed his eyes. And with one last inhale, he let his breathe out, and slowly turned to dust before their eyes.
