No More Freshness

  The two brothers looked at each other. They had calmed down, and now where both asking the same question. 'What is going on with their mother?'

  They watched as a doctor came in, talked to her, and as both of them walked into another room across the hall. It confused them even more when CQ came back later, holding a white and red flower crown in her hands and crying with joy.

  She looked up at the boys, and her smile widened as she chuckled. "I guess I owe an explanation, huh boys?" she asked.

  When they both nodded, she loked to the nurse, who smiled and nodded. She then picked up Fresh and told Error and Ink to follow her. They walked across the hall to the room they had seen their mother walk into, and when CQ opened the door, Error fell to his knees, tears streaming as he stared ahead. Fresh blinked, small tears forming in the corners of his eye sockets.

  There, sitting in the hospital bed, though tired and weary, was...

  "GENO!" The two boys exclaimed. Fresh tried to jump out of his mother's arms, so she sat him on Geno's bed. He crawled over as fast as he could, ignoring the pain in his chest. He hugged Geno as Error ran over and joined them.

  After a moment, they looked up. "H-how?" Fresh asked slowly.

  "Well, a tiny fraction of his soul survived when it s-shattered." Cq stuttered at that word. "And when your soul cracked, it joined with a piece of yours, which brought him back. You brought him back, Fresh." she said, smiling at him. Fresh just stared. He pulled out his soul and, sure enough, a piece was missing. How he didn't notice sooner, he couldn't figure out. He looked at Geno, who smiled at him.

  Everything was getting better.

  But is it possible for these brothers to all be healthy at the same time?

  I think not.
