Amnesia

Fire hero

"Jarvis should've alerted us of a fire!" Bruce replied.

"consider this your alert." Tony said, pulling him down the stairs.  

"we need to get the others." Bruce said. Tony paused.

"what floors are they on?" Tony ask. Bruce turned and pulled Tony back up the stairs.

"this is Natasha and Clints room, go in and find them, meet me back on the stair well to your room and I'll bring Steve and Phil down." Bruce replied. Tony nodded and ran into the room. Bruce took off up the stairs, bursting into Steve and Phils room. both jerked up.

"Bruce?" Phil ask.

"towers on fire." Bruce replied. they got up quickly and followed behind Bruce.

"where's Tony?" Steve ask.

"getting Nat and Clint." Bruce replied. he bumped into Tony. "Tony where are Natasha and Clint?" Bruce ask.

"I searched their room, but half of it is engulfed in flames. there's a hole in the floor, they're not in there." Tony replied. Bruce seemed to notice the burns on Tony's feet.

"are your feet okay?" Bruce ask.

"no time for talking. there's creaking in the floor, these top floors are coming down." Tony said, pulling Bruce's hand. Steve and Phil followed quickly to the living room. Tony led them out and turned to go back in.

"Tony! where are you going?" Bruce called.

"I hear coughing." Tony replied running back in. he could smell the burning flesh too. the living room was just as much in flames as the rest of the building. suddenly Steve was beside him, helping him search through the burning flames and debris.

"Tony!" Steve called. Tony's head snapped up and he ran over to Steve. the two were trapped under one of the fallen beams. "I'll lift the beam, you pull them out." Steve said. Tony nodded, watching Steve. he slowly managed to drag the two out one at a time. Tony was coughing at this point. "come on. we need to get you three out of there before the smoke gets too bad." Steve said, reaching to steady Tony. Tony swatted his hands off, and grabbed Natasha, hefting her into his arms. her eye's fluttered and she held tightly, wrapping her arms around his neck and burying her face in his shoulder.

"why aren't you coughing?" Tony ask as they headed out of the building.

"super soldier. I'm made for stuff like this." Steve replied, carrying Clint. Tony coughed stumbling as he tripped, nearly dropping Natasha. Bruce ran over to take Natasha to one of the ambulances waiting near by. Tony paused, counting. Bruce, Steve, Phil, Clint, Natasha, Happy, where was Pepper?

"where's Pepper?" Tony ask.

"huh?" Phil ask.

"Pepper! she's still in there!" Tony shouted, racing back into the burning tower. he returned a few minutes later, carrying Pepper out of the building quickly. she clung to him as he raced out with her. he nearly dropped her when he started coughing again. Bruce went after Tony, while Steve took Pepper to an ambulance. Bruce scooped him up gently, there were burns all over his body. he took Tony over to an empty ambulance and laid him down carefully. Bruce, Steve, and Phil worked at keeping the press away.

"Mr. Stark! did you start the fire?!" someone shouted.

"Mr. Stark why is your building burning?!" another shouted.

"Mr. Stark is not taking any questions. he's currently being treated for smoke inhalation and severe burns to his hands and feet." Bruce said, pushing people back.

"Dr. Banner in your own opinion would Mr. Stark have set the fire?" a third ask.

"no. he's got amnesia he's not insane. Tony did not set this fire, but he's got a lot of enemies, none of which would think twice about burning his building down the first day he came back after being missing for five years." Bruce replied. he pulled out his phone, walking over to the ambulance with Tony in it. he was looking for the security camera footage. "good job Tony. you saved everyone." Bruce said.
