Amnesia

"take a chance Tony." Bruce said. he sighed and kissed his forehead. "Tony look, I'm not going to make you, but this could really help you. you have severe headaches right?" Bruce ask. Tony nodded. "this will get rid of those and it could help your ears. Tony this could help you." Bruce said.

"are you sure Bruce?" Tony ask. Bruce nodded. 

"yeah. Tony if they do the surgery they could find something that caused your amnesia and might be able to do something about it." Bruce said.

"I'll do it." Tony muttered. Bruce smiled and pulled him close.

"they could find something wrong with your Cerebrum." Bruce said.

"I realize thats supposed to sound really good to me, but I have no idea what that is." Tony deadpanned. Bruce chuckled.

"thats the part of your brain that helps you read." Bruce said. Tony perked up interested.

"really? they could fix it?" Tony ask.

"well there's no guarantee that something is wrong with it, but if there is they could fix it." Bruce said.  

"okay now I really want to do it." Tony said. Bruce nodded.

"I need to go to SHEILD. I have a friend there who is a very good doctor. I'd trust her with my life. I should talk to her." Bruce said.

"I want to come." Tony replied.

"we'll talk about it in the morning before I leave." Bruce said. Tony pouted, but laid down while Bruce ate.

"are you sure you're not hungry?" Bruce ask. Tony nodded.

"I'm not hungry." Tony muttered. Bruce nodded and ate his food.

*next morning*

the others Avengers had been gone, so Bruce had no choice but to take Tony with him to the Helicarrier. as they landed Tony looked around.

"it was in the air the other day." Tony said sounding confused.

"it floats and flies." Bruce replied. "wonder around, don't get in anyone's way. stay out of stuff." Bruce said.

"okay." Tony said, looking slightly nervous.

"whats wrong?" Bruce ask.

"well, I can't swim." Tony replied. Bruce chuckled.

"this is an entire ship full of agents and such, you will be just fine, but stay away from the water, 'kay?" Bruce ask. Tony nodded slightly. "hey look Clint and Steve are tossing a football around why don't you go watch or play." Bruce said. Tony nodded slightly and went over to join Steve and Clint.

"Cap, go long!" Clint called, tossing the ball. Steve jumped up and caught it smirking.

"thats not long, you go long." Steve smirked throwing the ball as hard as he could. Clint frowned watching it fly over his head, catching sight of Tony.

"hey Tony! catch it!" Clint said. Tony looked at the ball and shrugged going after it.

"Tony stop!" Bruce shouted. Tony didn't hear him to focused on the ball, jumping into the air and catching the ball. "TONY!" Bruce shouted. Tony couldn't react. he hit the water. "Steve! he can't swim!" Bruce shouted. Steve was closer, taking off as fast as he could. he dove into the water head first as Bruce and Clint ran over to help pull them up. the ball floated to the surface while Bruce watched worriedly. it seemed like forever before Steve broke the surface with Tony. Bruce was quick to grab Tony and pull him up while Clint helped Steve. Bruce had already started CPR by the time SHIELD medics came racing over. Steve leaned against Clint gasping for breath, hands braced on his knee's, while he watched Bruce. Phil, of course, came running out to Steve. he carried towels with him. large towels, one for each person.
