"So, you really not going to tell me who was that fine brother you were dancing with?" Amber confronts me once again as I braid up her hair in a cute simple style before we leave for work. I already had told her since last night he was just a stranger in the wind that was passing by and wanted my attention.

"You not going to tell me why I had to pull you away from the girl you were beating her ass?" I question her back calmly. She never responds to any of my question when I pulled her away from the girl she was beating. She kept saying she was just a random hoe wanting attention, but I felt like there was more to the little story she was telling me.

"I already told you." She gave me an attitude turning her head away from me as I finish her hair up.

"Okay." I shrugged my shoulder.

"Why are you working today anyway?" Amber changes the subject.

"I don't start school till next week, and so I ask Jack for a shift." I respond back to her.

"Have you talked to your mother or brother?"

I shook my head no as I got my bag ready. I text them both two days ago and neither one of them had answered me back, and that honestly hurt my feelings. I got over it quick, but it is still is on my mind like a broken record playing.

I lock up the door of my place and we headed to her car to get inside.

I watch as people post up videos on their social media about how much goals they about to succeed in this new year we enter. I scoff to myself knowing damn well they not going to be able to succeed when they be on their bullshit.

Amber is on the phone talking to her mom I believe as I reply to people who text me saying happy new year.

"What time you start?" Amber voice rings out as she parks the car.

"12."

"I start now so you got an hour and thirty minutes to chill, see ya in there." Amber told me as she got out and handed me the keys to chill inside. I told her bye and begin going through my social media.

About thirty minutes into me chilling I decided to step out and walk over to the bench with a table that had a large umbrella projecting shades, so I won't get burn from the sun.

"Well, if it isn't the beautiful women I met at the club two nights ago." A deep voice breaks out of my thoughts as I glance up sucking the air out my lungs.

There he is standing right before my eyes. The man that I kissed on new years before running after Amber to stop her from fighting someone. The man who gotten me to dance with him.

The chocolate sexy man, who now I could see him way more clearly now that we were out in day light.

His dreads were still fresh as if he had it done every day, his tape line is still crisp and lined up great. The smile he project is like a model I've seen in a cover magazine of the hottest men in the country.

The sun screaming at his eyes made his light brown eyes give me a shiver the way he stared at me with a hint of lust. Whoever his parents are, they must have been one hell of couple to create an image like him.

"I hope you didn't forget about me girl."

His voice is amazing, and I'm not talking about on the phone late nights I'm talking a radio voice where after midnight the freaks comes out to play and he's giving us the music to listen too.

I hope that makes sense.

"I didn't." I finally answer him back calmly.

I am fidgeting inside knowing that I am in front of him while he's wearing a wife beater, muscles popping out and tempting me. He walks closer and place his grocery bags on the table.
