"Amerie, girl why you never text me back?" Amber questions me as I clock out right behind her.

Jack called me in this morning asking if I wanted to come in. Saturday's are usually busy in the morning so I decided to come in to waste my time today.

"My bad girl, I honestly forgot to text you back. I was caught up with stuff."

I told her as we walked out the department.

"Do you want me to drop you off boo?" Amber ask me as we were walking around the grocery store as she search for things.

My phone begins ringing.

"Hold on girl." I told Amber as I distance myself to answer the call.

"Hello?" I answer.

"What's up baby you busy?

"Gino?"

"Yeah, you ain't save my number?"

"Nah I forgot."

"Well, what you doing? Can we chill together?"

"I just clock out of work. What you got in mind?"

"I was thinking I take you out. I don't know where yet, but I'll think of something."

"I told you I didn't want you to..."

"Amerie, man I ain't playing with your ass. I'm taking your unappreciated ass out."

"Unappreciated? Gino..."

"I had a good ass reason why I ain't hit your ass up, and you still rejecting me?"

I laugh a little.

"Okay, fine." I told him still laughing.

"Let me know when you ready. Don't keep my ass waiting though."

"Why not?" I said giving attitude.

"Cause my ass will sleep on you." He said laughing.

"Whatever okay, I don't need to dress fancy right?"

"Nah, jeans and a shirt would be okay."

"Okay, see you."

I hang up the call and place the phone in my pocket.

"My girl finally going out?" Amber surprise me a little. She smile's at me.

"Something like that."

"Something like that? Girl you finally might get some action and you telling me you not happy?" She said smacking her lips while shaking her head.

"It's been awhile okay?"

"So? You should be happy. For once you're not going to hear about my stories and drama, now I can hear about yours."

"Amber..."

"Oh don't Amber me, Amerie you're beautiful and you deserve someone to give you attention and other than you listening to me talk."

"Yes, I know, but I'm not ready."

"How will you know when you're ready? Man, stop giving yourself excuses Amerie." She told me slapping my shoulder. I giggle as she pays for her grocery items.

"Is everything okay with you? You never answered my question after the new year club fight you got into." I ask her as she drove heading to my place. She gives me a side glance shaking her head.

"And you better not try to avoid this now." I told her.

Amber rarely gets into an argument, never a fight with another female. She tends to stay away from females because she knows how she is, and a female would never be able to be friends with her, because of her personality.
