Chapter 19

It's so hard for me to just sit down and write....but here it is. Hopefully I'll get a lot of my fans back, sorry for not posting and leaving you guys hanging. I know it sucks but it would help if you guys commented and gave me some feedback! I feel mean saying that for some reason, but I meant it in a nice way!! <3

And sorry for the weird tense changes. Tell me if you see any errors. In sixth grade I read a book that was in present tense and after primarily reading past tense books it screwed me over. Ever since I always change tenses randomly when writing! I can't help it, it's an unconcious thing!! AHH!!! darn you, sixth grade!!!!

Chapter 19

I woke up suddenly in utter confusion. My head was on someone's shoulder and I had to blink a couple times before I gained my vision back. When I looked beside me, Luke was sitting next to me, which surprised me because I had thought it was Alex. What was going on?

Ooh...

I was able to recall the past events after my moment of confusion. I was going to Colorado to see Alex and Luke was next to me because he had been kicked out of the band.

"How long have I been asleep?" I say, my voice a little horse.

"Two hours," he says simply.

It definitely felt much longer than that. I realize my head is still on his shoulder and I retreat away slowly. I can feel my cheeks heating up from it. I was so confused over this whole marriage thing. Was I with Alex? Was this whole thing fake? I'm not sure if Alex is still with Audrey...Has he been seeing her? All these questions float in my brain like an inflated balloon. I don't know which one is going to pop first, me or the balloon!

"What?" Luke asks, his voice sounds groggy as well.

"I'm just confused..."

"About what?"

"About me and Alex...and Alex and Audrey...and me and you..." the latter I said lowly, "about anything for that matter!"

He laughs, 'me too!"

"Well what about Alex and Audrey? What's going on with them?"

"As if I know. Alex never tells me anything. I haven't seen them with each other, but who knows. He doesn't know you're coming to Colorado so he's probably doing stuff with her there," his voice is filled with apathy.

I make a face, "Audrey's there?" I hadn't known about that. His comment annoyed me. Does he really think that just because I'm not there he's probably having sex with Audrey? Some part of me agreed with his comment. If I'm confused about this thing, Alex probably is too. He and Audrey have been together for a long time. The thought makes me feel a little sad for a couple reasons. I'm the mistake that's going to break them apart. How special I feel.

"Yeah, but I don't know if she even wants anything to do with him anymore now that he's lost touch with her. She's still pissed about this whole...thing...too. He drinks a lot when he's stressed and, coincidentally, he gets stressed a lot. They had a long talk about it last year. It was like an intervention, but there was only two people," he laughs, "he got really upset and got wasted just to piss her off. This year he promised her he wouldn't do it again and it was on their anniversary so it was pretty serious."

This was definitely surprising news. There weren't even rumors about this whole drinking thing. Of course rock stars party and get drunk but to hear he's an alcoholic, that's different. It just didn't seem like him. It was weird hearing this.

"Wow..." is all I manage to say. I am, however, interested in hearing more about Alex and Audrey, "what else?" I ask.

"Well, I know Brian has his eye on her. He has ever since he met her usually he just does whatever he wants without thinking about the consequences. I have no idea why Alex is still friends with him," he shakes his head, "but he's been holding off on it which makes me think that there's something going on behind closed doors...literally."
