Florence hated that she couldn't remember her past, was afraid when she first came up in the Box, so afraid she didn't come out at first. Not even when it was lunch time (even though she was very hungry). She didn't come out until a boy came up and talked her into coming out.
Newt had become her first friend in the Maze and the only person she trusted for a long while.
