"Are you a God Slayer?" Jia asked. The girl nodded. She responded in greek once more. "I'm a Time God Slayer." She said. Jia nodded. "Come in." She said. The girl has glasses and wears black t-shirt and jeans. Her lips are pale pink and her skin is darker tan.
The Next Day…
Jia woke, it was 7:00. "Three hours till work." She mumbled, getting out of bed and dressing herself. Niko awoke to a headache and stuff. "Okey dokey, I gots work at 4:00." He groans. Leo in the other room is still awake. Terrified. The barrier isn't there anymore but Leo is scarred. The girl had slept on the couch. She had told Jia her name was Lyra. "Cute horn things by the way." Lyra pointed out the small stubs of horns on Jia's head that grew when she was in her Demonic God Form. Jia laughed. "Are they cosplay or are you-" Lyra's eyes widen. "Are you the Demonic God Slayer?" She asks. Niko closes his eyes. He feels like he's falling. Then he opens them. Complete blackness. Surrounding Niko on all sides. He's falling. Wind whooshes around him as he falls.
Jia bites her lip. "Yeah." She says to Lyra. "I need to get ready for work." Jia makes an excuse to get out of this conversation. She runs upstairs after grabbing a muffin from the pantry. Niko blacked out. Leo napped for a while.
Later that Afternoon…
Jia wiped her hands together. It was 3:14. Another 45 minutes till work was done. Niko got hit by bright lights. He had just about come back into consciousness. Niko cringed, hissing. It took a while for his eyes to adjust to the drastic change in brightness. Once Niko had adjusted to the light, he assessed his surroundings. He stood in a brightly lit room with a white rug on the white floor beneath. White walls surrounded Niko from all sides. A human sized tunnel filled to the brim with darkness lay in front of him. "Wow, it sucks to be temporarily blinded." Niko muttered. "Where am I!?" He called out to no one in particular. Niko wasn't even expecting an answer, but he got one. "Welcome to hell, kid." A cheery male voice came from the mouth of the tunnel. A figure emerged into the bright lights of the room. "The name's Carnel. And I presume you're Niko?" The tall man said quickly. Carnel wore a dapper black suit, sported poshly combed blue hair and a plain white mask covering his whole face, except for his mouth, which was twisted into a enormous grin. "Uhm, yeah. I'm Niko. Exactly, where am I?" Niko answered Carnel's question. "I told you!" Carnel groaned exasperatedly. "Better listen closer, kid. You're in Hell headquarters."
"Hell? I thought it was the realm of the dead!" Niko replied. "No, not hell, H.E.L.L. as in Headquarters of Evil Lesser Lives." Carnel said. "Oh." Niko said. "Okay?" He mumbled. "Good, good." Carnel's smile spread even larger, which Niko thought wasn't humanely possible. Carnel grabbed Niko's wrist. "Alrighty, let's go!" Carnel yipped. Carnel led Niko though a procession of halls, rooms, and into a large laboratory. "Ta da!" Carnel cheered. Niko looked around at the supposedly empty lab. "Uh, cool?" He squeaked.
"Niral! I've got Niko!" Carnel called out to what seemed to be no one. "Carnel, I don't think anyone-" Niko began, but was interrupted. "Yeah, Carnel? You brought Nico?" A light woman's voice called back. Niko couldn't see anyone. "Nick-oh, not Nee-co. Y'know, the newbie?" Carnel yelled. "Mmkay, just a second."
There was a loud bang and a stout lady came into view from one of the pods stacked against the far wall. "Ah, Niral. Meet the newbie, Niko Rivera." Carnel said. "Oh, that Niko. Not Nico Marcelaz." Niral nodded. She was dressed in a sooty white lab coat, a yellow sweater, a blue skirt and simple black flats. Her blonde hair is done up in a bun. "Mmhmm!" Carnel said, turning to Niko. "Niko, meet our lab expert, Miss Niral Murphy."
Miss Murphy smiled. "Nice to meet you, Niko." She stuck out h hand and Niko shook it. "Ah, Niko, I'm afraid I'm gonna have to extract some of your memories for you to pursue training to become a full demon. Not core memories. Just, your past. You'll get them back eventually though." Niral said softly. "A full demon?" Niko asked, confused. "Sorry, Niko." Carnel winced. "YOU DIDN'T TELL HIM!?" Miss Murphy growled. "I forgot!" Carnel whimpered. Miss Murphy huffed. "Carnel, now." She ordered.
