It's been about a week since coming home. I mostly stay here helping my nana around the house since my pap is always working.

I've been job hunting and looking for a place of my own. I'm not trying to move out as soon as possible because I know they need the help and I'm trying to get on my feet again.

It's Friday today and my nana is teaching me how to bake a whole bunch of things. She even gave me her recipe book so I can teach the kids she hopes I have one day.

"Mmm it's smelling good in here girls." My pap says walking over and kissing my nana.

I giggle and cut him a slice of my cinnamon apple pie.

Knock.

Knock.

"Oh I'll get it." My nana says taking off her apron and walks out of the kitchen.

After making another batch of cake batter. I walk out into the hall and freeze on the spot.

There he is, in the doorway talking to my Nana. "Oh dear are you ok!?" My nana says and I look at my feet realizing I dropped the bowl shattering it.

"Oh- oh my god nana I'm so sorry." I bend down to clean it up.

"I'll get it ok. I don't want you to cut yourself. Go talk to him dear." She says and give me a sweet smile and I nod looking back up at Everest in the doorway.

I shake off this nervous feeling and closing the door behind me.

"Hey." I say just starring at him. He's bigger. Not fat but very muscular and taller.

When he doesn't say anything and just looks at me with no emotion in his eyes. "You grew a bread?" I say more of a question.

"You grew your hair?" Shocked at his voice almost falling over.

His voice is so deep, I'm ashamed to say that I have to change my underwear when I get back in the house.

"Oh-uh yeah." I run my hands through my waist length almost white blonde hair. See when I used to live here I never grew my hair out. I always kept it at my shoulders and the color. Everyone always thought I dyed it to be this color but really it's just my natural color.

"So-" he cuts me off.

"What are you doing here Avery." He says and I look everywhere but his face.

"Well I finished school and there was just nothing there for me anymore." I say finally looking up at him.

"Just like you left here. Because there was nothing here for you anymore!?" He kinda says in a scary ton. Making me feel small from his big frame.

"Ev-" I try to talk to him again but he steps closer. So close I can smell his intoxicating Cologne.

"It's Sin. Learn it!" He spits and gets in his bike driving away.

I stand there for a bit but I eventually go back inside. I walk into my room and get a quick shower.

When I'm done I get dressed into a beige crop top and white floral shorts.
