"My name is Ethan by the way."

Oh. That's great. He has a cute name too. Exactly what I needed.

"Ok, Ethan, so what are you looking for in this tattoo?" I mentally facepalmed myself for loving the way that his name feels on my tongue.

"Something badass, but also meaningful."

"Anything in mind?"

"The only thing on my mind right now is you."

I scoffed and tucked a curl behind my ear. "Do you really think a lame pick up line like that would ever even make me think of being slightly interested?"

Who was I kidding? I'm one hundred and forever percent interested.

"I never said it would but it was worth a shot." He leaned in to me.

"You have to try harder than that." I countered and leaned in as well.

"You want to know what you're doing in my mind?" He asked in a hushed tone, moving in until we were almost touching.

"Oh please, humor me." I murmured against his lips

"You're naked, bent over that desk shivering, groaning and screaming my name like your favorite song. Over and over and over again while I slam my-"

"Ok! That is enough out of you." I said, quickly backing up against my chair.

I rub my face with my hands and silently thank the lord for my mocha skin color. Dark skins can't, and don't blush. One of the perks of being such.

"Your hair is actually pretty cute, Gummy bear." He chuckled.

"You don't say." I glared.

"No seriously, it's unique. I like it."

Those three words made me like him a little bit more. Stupid heart and its dumb feelings. Always fucking me up when I need it the least.

"But I'm still gonna keep calling you Candy names."

Aaand, there goes his progress.

"Seriously. I have work to do so I need a description of what you want. These sketches have to be the final product so we can start the tattooing process."

"Ok. Fine"

I put my stuff away and leaned over the counter "Jazz? I need to go home and change. Are you coming with?"

"Yeah sure. I'll borrow stuff from you." She shrugged her purse over her shoulder locked up the back.

"Aren't you supposed to ask first?"

"You're my best friend. I don't have to." She smiled and pushed past me.

"You're annoying."

"But you still love me."

"Yeah, yeah" I grinned and locked up the parlor behind me.

We walked to my apartment in laughter, joking about all sorts of things. Of course, Jazz heard me fall twice today. She also saw Ethan come in today. Almost choked on her salad.

"He seemed pretty happy walking out of your office. Miniskirt or Shorts?"

"Miniskirt. And, I don't think so, because you are implying that he likes me, which is impossible because I'm not that cute. White or Black?" I asked, holding up two crop tops.

"White, Obviously. You need to have more confidence in your abilities as a woman. You're pretty. Why do you think people loved you Candii Swirl?"

"Candii Swirl died two years ago. Don't call me that."

Her words also reminded me of Ethan and how he used all sorts of candy names on me today. As much as it annoyed me, it was kinda cute. I didn't notice the stupid grin on my face until Jazz snapped me out of it.

"Thinking about him?"

"No..." I lied."

"Why you always lying? Why you always Lying? OOOOOOO Oh my gosh! Stop fucking lying!" She crooned off key.

"Ewwww" I snorted. "that is so old"

"It fit, because you like him. Its written all over you adorable freckled face."

I groaned because I knew she was right. I only met the guy today and I caught feelings. I'm not very good at building walls, even though I want to. That sucks because I'm always getting my feelings run over.

I stared at myself in the full-length mirror. Staring into my own eyes I assessed my full outfit. My hair was up in twin buns and my was face beat to the heavens. We looked good.

"I'm about to snatch your man!" Jazz giggled, clearly feeling herself in that mirror.

"Whatever you say."
