"C-Can you come back at another time?" Romero groaned as an obvious newcomer to the establishment sucked him off. That was me, when I first got here. Young, impressionable, and innocent. And most importantly, stupid as hell.
"Dammit, do you ever do anything other than sit there and make all the newbies do your bidding?" I seethed, my heart going out to the poor girl.
"Don't act like you didn't enjoy initiation, mi amor" He grinned up at me, the expression being lost as the blonde girl did one big slurp to the tip.
"Oh my God, have you no shame?" I rolled my eyes and turned my body to look at the wall behind me.
"Ill be done soon, sis, just give me like five minutes." The girl said. I could hear the smile in her voice. It made me sick.
Looking at the wall I noticed how everything was the same. All the autographs from famous people who made it out. And then there was mine. Sure I wasn't famous, but for some odd reason, everyone loved me. Candii Swirl was a fan favorite, the head stripper if you will.
All the girls wanted to be me except for me.
A loud broken grunt popped the bubble of my memories and made me spin around in one fluid motion.
"All done." The girl smiled smugly. Taking her dirty blonde hair into her hands she twisted it at the top of her head and secured it with her hair tie. She sashayed out of the office, hips swinging a little too much to be natural and I glared at her. I'm not even close to being competition.
"You know," Romero started, sound of his fly zipping in the background, "I'm digging the new look. The blue really brings out your freckles."
"Oh save it, you pig. I'm not here for you. I'm here because Brielle wont stop blowing up my phone about this strip con nonsense and you need to explain it to me. Right. Now."
"Chill out, babe. Why cant you be as mellow as the blue in your gorgeous tresses? I'll explain everything if you ask me nicely." He grinned.
"I'm not here for you."
"Oh really? The fidgeting in your hands screams something else."
"I'm not fidgeting," I fought, shoving my hands in my pockets.
He only smiled and stood up, slowly making his way over the file cabinet.
"What do you need to know."
"I haven't touched a pole in two years. So, I have no clue why you guys are contacting me. Candii is dead, and I want her to stay that way."
"Oh, that's why youre here? Well its very simple. We need an edge, a way to already beat them before any of their tramps step out on the floor. What better way than our star dancer?"
"But that's what you aren't getting, I'm not a dancer anymore." I sighed, "I cant do it, ok? I'm not who you guys want me to be."
"Well you cant pass up one million dollars just like that. Surely you've got more sense."
And he was right. I did have more sense than that. One million dollars? All for getting back into your stretch routine and stripping? In Hawaii? That's like taking candy from a baby. So what the hell was stopping me?
Ethan.
Its Ethan! My subconscious screamed at me.
"Iv'e got enough sense to survive, Romero. Why do you think we aren't together anymore? I know I'm not just here because of my abilities, ok? Just move on..."
That comment angered him, "We aren't together anymore because you didn't want to put in the effort. You were always a sick dreamer, head stuck in the clouds. You were always wishing for somewhere better. Somewhere that I couldn't take you..."
"We aren't together anymore because you and your disgusting attitude put the fire out. The fire was out a long time ago."
He took a sharp breath and clenched his fist. "I just need to know if you're in or not so that we can fill out the form and get the right amount of tickets."
Rubbing my temples I went over all the possible scenarios in my head. I tried to see a reason to stay but the money kept outweighing my other issues. Then I started the craziest and best adventure of my life
"You know what? I'm in."
LMAOOOOO. Ok so please don't attack meh, I know the chapter is short, but bear with me. The next couple of chapters are gonna be full of some shit and long too. I think I'm gonna do some in dual POV that way we can see exactly how my boy Ethan feels about this whole thing. COMMENT AND SHARE OR ILL FIND YO ASSSSS. Thanks for reading!
