Chapter 4

Rajveer's eyes widens at Naina's confession as the blood drains out of his face. He is unable to believe what he just heard. How can this be possible? How come Naina's mother knows his father? And on top of that, how is this all connected?

In utter shock, he stares at Naina. Unable to speak, he turns his back towards her. Words cannot describe his feelings at this moment. He loved his father more than anything in this world. And the day he found out that his father committed suicide due to someone, he swore to god that he'll punish the person himself.

By now, Naina is completely in tears. Unable to say anything, Rajveer turns towards Naina and walks towards her in shock.

Reaching her, he holds her by her shoulders as he looks in her teary eyes.

"Kya tumhari Maa ka naam Meera Singh Ahluwalia hai?"

questions Rajveer in utter surprise

This catches Naina's attention. Wiping her tears, she looks at Rajveer helplessly.

"Haan"

this is the only thing she is able to utter

As soon as Rajveer hears these words from her mouth, he leaves her shoulders immediately as his eyes fills up with tears, tears of pain and hate.

"Tumhari maa ke jhoot ki wajah se mere papa ne suicide kar liya or meri maa aajtak mere papa ko doshi manti hain"

states Rajveer with sobs

This makes Naina to cry even harder. He is literally blaming her mother without knowing the facts. Wiping her tears away, she tries to explain further.

"Rajveer aap pura sach nahi jante. Please meri baat suniye"

requests Naina

And by now, Rajveer's pain has turned into anger. Not wanting to hear any further explanation, he puts his hand up in front of Naina; as a sign of asking her to stop.

"Bus Naina, mein or kuch nahi sunna chahta. Chali jao yahan se"

he yells

This shocks Naina all the more. New tears starts to form in her eyes. Reaching up to him, she holds his shoulders.

"Please let me explain Rajveer."

she requests

But it looks like Rajveer is in no mood to hear any of her explanations. He jerks her hands away as he distances himself from her.

"Enough Ms. Naina Singh Ahluwalia. I do not want to hear any fake explanations"

yells Rajveer even louder this time

This sends shivers down Naina's spine as she stares at him in utter shock. Firstly, he wanted to know the truth that she is hiding, and when she has told him everything, he is not even giving her a chance to explain.

By now, Rajveer has started walking towards his car leaving Naina alone there. She stares at him as he sits in his car and leaves from there in anger.

Wiping her tears away, Naina stands still at her spot.

"Baat toh aapko meri sunni hi parhegi Rajveer"

says Naina confidently
