Beinteeha - Rajveer-Naina

Chapter 25

They enjoy an intense and an emotional eye-lock in the pouring rain. Their lips don't utter anything but their eyes speak volumes.

"Naina.."

He whispers out of intense guilt and in no time, pulling her towards himself, Rajveer embraces her in his arms. His strong grip around her shoulders lets Naina know his desperation to be with her, his fear upon the thought of losing her. His loud hiccups due to crying breaks her heart into pieces.

Slowly, she brings her arms up and hugs him back. Shutting their eyes, they stay in each other's embrace for few moments, enjoying the heavy rainfall.

Coming back to her senses, Naina withdraws her hands as realization hits upon her . Lowering her eyes, she breaks the hug and stands at a distance while he gazes at her with pain, his eyes pleading her to never leave him alone.

"Rajveer, ab please aap jaiye warna aap bimar parh jayenge"

She says out of concern

Staring her out of love, he says,

"Nahi Naina...mein tumhari maafi liye bina yahan se nahi jaunga"

All his insults starts coming in front of Naina's eyes and her face colour changes, yet again.

With a heavy voice, lowering her eyes, she utters,

"Jitni bezati aapne meri ki, uske baad mein aapko kabhi maaf nahi karungi Rajveer"

This breaks his heart - she is right, he has hurt her way too much.

Staring her throughout, taking a step near her, holding her by her shoulders, Rajveer makes her to look up in his eyes.

"Naina..."

He whispers.

Taking a deep breath, he continues,

"Mein manta hun ke maine galti ki hai par mujhe us galti ki itni badi saza mut do. Chahe toh mujhe maro lekin please mujhse durr mut jao Naina"

He pleads while tears escapes from his eyes which gets mixed with the rain.

Staring her lovingly, he continues,

"Maine us aurat ki wajah se tumhare sath itni nainsaafi ki jis ne mujhe hi dhokha dia. Maa se zayada manta tha mein usse, apna bhagwaan manta tha mein usse.."

Pain and betrayal is evident in Rajveer's voice which is due to his mother. Can she even blame him? What is even his fault? That he loved and trusted his mother immensely? More than her, Rajveer is hurt because the women he worshipped like his god, she is the one who betrayed him.

Tears starts streaming down Naina's cheeks as he continues further,

"Us aurat ke liye maine tumhari bezati ki jab ke tumne mujhe pyaar karna sikhaya, tumne meri itni care ki, tumne mujhse itna pyaar kia"

Lowering his eyes, crying bitterly, he goes down on his knees in front of her, unable to meet her gaze.

"Please..forgive...me...Naina. I...I really really love you. Please forgive me"

His voice breaks as he finishes his words. Her heart melts like a candle. Not even in her wildest dreams she thought that he would be in such a condition, that too in front of her.

The truth is, she cannot even imagine the pain which he is suffering from at the moment.

Unable to see him in this condition, holding him by his shoulders, she pulls him up and embraces him in her arms.

"Bus kijiye Rajveer...maine aapko maaf kiya"

Says Naina with teary voice and she hugs him.

A shiver goes down his spine and his eyes twinkles with love and hope.

Breaking the hug, he stares at her out of surprise. How can she forgive him so easily? How can a person have such a big heart.

"Tum itni achi kyun ho Naina?"

He asks getting surprised, yet happy.

Slowly, he moves his hands towards her face. Cupping her cheeks, taking a deep breath, he utters out of immense love,

"I love you Naina, I really do!"

She shuts her eyes and leans onto his touch, the touch that she craves for.

Breathing heavily, she confesses,

"I love you too Rajveer..I love you"

He smiles and plants a soft kiss on her forehead. A kiss that is a promise that he'll love her till eternity and beyond, that he'll trust her more than himself!

She opens back her eyes and they enjoy another eye-lock.

After few minutes, holding her hand, he says,

"Apne ghar wapis chalo Naina"

The smile from her face vanishes as she hears his words.

She withdraws her hand out of his grip. Lowering her eyes, she says,

"Nahi Rajveer..mein aapke sath wapis nahi aa sakti"

His heartbeat picks up pace and he stares her in utter surprise.

"Lekin kyun Naina?"

He asks politely

Looking back up at him, she replies,

"Beshak maine aapko maaf kiya Rajveer.."

Taking a deep breath, she continues,

"Lekin humare beech wo trust hi nahi hai jo ek husband wife ke beech hona chahiye. Jab wo vishwaas hi nahi toh aise rishte ka kya fayda?"

A shiver goes down his spine.

"Naina, please mujhe ek mauka do..mein tumse waada karta hun ke tumhe iss duniya ka best husband bann ke dikhaunga"

He pleads, staring at her with much hope.

Lowering her eyes, she whispers,

"Koi fayda nahi hai Rajveer..."

But it looks like her words doesn't match what her heart is saying.

Saying so, she turns and takes a step forward to leave when suddenly, she feels a jerk and in no time, she lands up back in his arms.

Breathing heavily, she looks up at him and finds him smirking. Slowly, he traces the milky skin of her face with his finger, giving her chills in her entire body

"I'm sorry sweetheart..mein tumhari har baat maan sakta hun lekin ye nahi. Tumhe toh mein apne se durr nahi jaane dunga..kabhi bhi nahi"

He says huskily.

Her heartbeat picks up pace and a shy smile creeps on her lips.

Lowering her eyes, she submits herself . Taking her smile as a positive sign, staring her out of love, he slowly picks her up in his arms and slowly walks towards his car to take his wife back home.

He is a man of words! He completed his promise that he made to himself, to never let her go away from him, ever!
