Beinteeha - Rajveer-Naina

Chapter 5

A devastated Naina walks inside her house as tears are visible in her eyes. As soon as she is about to walk towards her room, her mother's vouce arrests her.

"Naina, khana kha lo"

calls Meera from the dining table

Naina halts in her steps as she hears her mother's voice. Turning around, she wipes her tears away.

"Mujhe bhookh nahi hai Maa, aap kha lo"

replies Naina

And with that, she leaves for her room. Getting inside, she immediately locks the door behind her. Throwing her purse on her bed, Naina rushes towards the washroom.

Getting inside, with her clothes on, she stands under the shower as she turns the tap on. She lets the water run over her as her sobs gets louder.

Zindgi me koi kabhi aaye na rabba
Aaye jo koyi to phir jaye na rabba

Naina remembers the days she has spent with Rajveer. Their first meeting flashes in front of her eyes.

Dene ho agar mujhe baad me aansu
To pehele koyi hasaye na rabba

With anger, Rajveer also enters inside his house. Today, it feels as if he has lost everything in his life. The only women he loved after his mother, she is the one who betrayed him.

Jate jate koyi meri khushiyo ko le gaya
Suni suni akhiyo ko gham koyi de gaya

When he heard the truth, he did not want to blame her or hate her because obviously it was not her fault. But when she also blamed his father, that's when he lost his temper. And on top of that, she was on her mother's side. She thought his father is wrong and this is the main reason why he has started to hate her.

Aas jo lagayi hai aankh bhar aayi hai
Itna bhi koyi sataye na rabba

As he walks inside, he halts in his tracks as on his right side, he spots his father's picture. As he takes his steps towards his father's picture, his eyes starts brimming with tears.

Reaching there, he stares at the photo with pain in his eyes.

"Papa, jis ki wajah se aap ki jaan gayi, mein usse or us se jude hue sab logon ko barbaad kar dunga"

Rajveer promises himself and his father

With that, he wipes his tears away and he makes his way towards his mother's room. Getting inside, he finds his mother, Damini Singh Shekhawat,  sitting on her wheelchair, right across from her bed.

Since the time his father, Karan Singh Shekhawat, has committed suicide, his mother has turned into a stone and day by day, her condition is getting worse. Not just his suicide, but his betrayal has hurt Damini all the more.

Wiping the tears that were in Rajveer's eyes, he helps his mother to lay down on her bed comfortably. Sitting next to Damini, Rajveer takes her right hand in between his palms.

"Mein papa ko toh wapis nahi le aa sakta maa lekin mein aapse wada karta hoon ke mein unhe insaaf dilaoonga"

he promises his mother.

With that, he turns the lights off his mother's room and heads towards his room. Reaching there, he locks the door behind him as he makes a very important phone call.

Naina finally comes out of the washroom as she feels a bit better. But she has promised herself that from now on, she will only live for her mother and from now on, the word "love" will not exist in her dictionary. She has decided that she will stay far away from Rajveer, very far away. She doesn't even want to see his face. He had insulted her mother badly, that too without even knowing the damm truth.

Since it's quite late at night and Naina has to wake up early to go to her office tomorrow, she heads towards her bed to sleep.  Trying to erase all the ongoing thoughts that are running in her mind, she switches the lights off and she drifts off to sleep.

Next Morning - 7am

As usual, Naina wakes up exactly at 7am. She immediately gets up from her bed and heads towards the washroom to get ready for her work.

Within few minutes, she comes out all ready. As she looks in the mirror at herself for her final look, her phone rings immediately.

The first person that comes to her mind is Rajveer. She looks at the caller ID and finds out that her secretory, Maria, is calling. Her heart skips a beat as to why she thought of Rajveer again.

Ignoring her thoughts, she picks up the call.

"Good Morning Maria!"

wishes Naina politely

A long sigh escapes from Maria's mouth as if trying to tell Naina that something is wrong.

"Ma'am please jaldi office aa jaiye"

says Maria in a scared tone

This causes Naina to knit her brows out of confusion.  Naina finds the fear in Maria's voice which tells her that definitely something is wrong.

"Kya baat hai Maria, mujhe saaf saaf batao"

questions Naina now getting afraid

Maria takes a deep breath before she reveals the truth.

"Ma'am office mein aag lag gayi hai. Please come fast"

says Maria

Naina's eyes widens at this and she feels as if someone has slipped the Earth beneath her feet.

"WHAT??"

yells Naina

With that she immediately cuts the call and in no time, she grabs her car keys and heads towards her office. While she is driving, Rajveer's words "I will destroy you Ms. Naina Singh Ahluwalia", keeps ringing in her ears.

With in minutes, she finally reaches her office and as she comes out of her car, her eyes widens in shock as she finds her entire office on fire. All the staff members are standing outside and fortunately, no one gets injured.

Naina gets another shock when she finds Rajveer Singh Shekhawat standing few meters away from her office, near his car, with his sun glasses on while there is a smirk playing on his lips and his arms are crossed over his chest.

Now begins the real war between the two.
