You Have Hope

A bad habit I have is listening to depressing songs when I feel depressed thus making me even more emotional. I kind of like it, though. It gives me an outlet for the negative emotions I keep bottled up.

It makes it so that I get to a point where I want to write about my feelings, letting my mind roll out into the world instead of spinning in my head. I write about the things that trouble me not only to help myself, but to tell those who feel the same way that I do, you are not alone.

You are not crazy and whatever you feel is a part of life and there is always a way to get around it. These emotions don't have to consume you. They don't need to control you.

They don't need to be your dictator.

You can control your emotions, though it is very difficult, I know. You just have to experiment. Find the things that destract you, that make you happy.

For me it's writing, music, and exercise where I move my arms a lot (because I feel most of my anxiety in my upper torso, so it helps work out the tension). It may or may not work for you. Everyone is different.

Whatever you're going through, if your going through anything, you have the ability to pull through if you will it to happen. That's the absolute most important thing in accomplishing anything in life is to have the will to go through the journey. All you have to do is keep up with your word.

It's not impossible. In fact it's so very possible. All you have to do is get up and push. It doesn't even have to be to your limit. Just enough to say that you have made a change, then get up again. It's not as impossible as you might make it seem.

Think of the pros and the cons of dealing with not willing yourself through tough times versus getting up and doing something.

I usually think about it like homework. If you do your homework, you get to keep up your grade, or even make it better. Your parents are happy with you and you will get that push into the college you want.

However, if you don't do your homework, your grades drop, your parents yell at you, you get all this unwanted stress.

If you get up and try to conquer your emotions, become productive, anything like that, you're life will become happier. You'll be more successful or even enjoy life.

If you don't get up and work for the things you want in life, you'll just continue going down in that endless spiral of emotions and sorrow.

It's a pretty big chain reaction. One little thing you decide to do, or not do, really can effect your future greatly.

You just have to get up.
