Cyberous POV

Flying low to the ground I tried to pick up the scent of the unknown female. Anger ran through my veins like lava whoever interfered with my plans was going to die a slow agonizing death. Coming to a mountain range I stopped and looked up. If this female was in this mountain range it was going to be tough to find her. Never give up I thought this is world domination and the extinction of the human race. Looking up I stretched out my powerful wings and took flight again. When I reached the top of the cliff I landed gracefully on the edge looking around at my surroundings. A beautiful valley was laid out before me while looking around I happened to look down at the ground. Dragon tracks laid at my feet growling lowly I turned around to the direction they were facing back were I had come from. In the distance I could see the city burning realization hit me. She had seen me destroy the city and she ran when she saw me.

Shaking my massive head I let out a deafening roar warning her that I would hunt her down.

Chi-chi's POV

Chi-chi trembled when she heard the Evil Dragons roar. A young man walked into the barn that I was staying in. Closing the large door to the barn behind him. Walking over to the TV they had set up he turned it onto a movie before walking over to me.

"Hi, Chi-chi my name is Adam I'm Damon's Beta. Is there anything I can get you to make you more comfortable?" he asked with a light bow. Gently shaking my head no I tried to take my mind off how close the Evil dragon was to me and my young. Smiling at me he spoke again, "Chi-chi are you not comfortable with the mind linking yet?"

Looking at him I tilted my head to the side in a questioning gaze. Nodding his head he knew I didn't know how yet. "It's actually quiet easy. Just concentrate on the person you want to talk to then when you feel your mind open up just think about what you want to say to them. If you feel a pressure on your mind simply allow your mind to go blank and they can speak to you. Go ahead and try it on me." He said with a smile.

Thinking about Adam I concentrated, *Hi Adam its nice to meet you. Thank you for showing me this.* I thought towards him. Feeling pressure in my head I cleared my mind.

*Your welcome Chi-chi and no matter the distance you can contact anyone within the pack including Damon.* He linked back to me.

Damon walks into the barn quietly and closes the door with a soft click. "Hi sweet heart how are you feeling this evening?" he asked walking up to me.

*I'm doing great Damon thanks for hiding me in here.* I linked back to him. Placing my head down low so he could reach it.

"Hey now I would do anything to keep you safe my love." he said softly placing a gentle kiss on my snout. Purring at the contact I closed my eyes as the tingles went through me. And for a moment I felt completely safe.

"My brothers will be here in a couple of days to help protect you and the human race from this threat." he said with a sigh. Adam cleared his throat and stood up, "I think I'll be going now I'm sure you'll need some privacy. Thank you Chi-chi for your company." he said with a bow before walking out of the barn.

Smiling to myself before curling around Damon and getting close to him. I moved my head to were I could watch the movie that Adam had put on for me. It was a Animated movie called, How to Train Your Dragon. I had never seen the movie before but I immediately fell in love with it.

"Chi-chi I never imagined I would have such a wonderful mate like you. When we beat this Dragon would you take me flying?" he asked while stroking my scaled neck. Nodding my head gently while purring softly. I laid my head down and slowly my eyes started to drift close.

Damon's POV

After getting off the phone with my brothers I heard the horrible roar from the male Dragon. I needed to get back to Chi-chi she might be scared. Hurriedly I exited the pack house and made my way to the barn. I knew the dragon was close at least a hundred miles or so away. He would be here anytime and hopefully he wouldn't find Chi-chi with her hidden in the barn. I didn't know if I could lve without her. Our plan was to lure the Dragon here with Chi-chi at night and when he landed we would all attack him.

Knowing the death of this dragon would hurt Chi-chi because they were the last two of their kind. I only hoped that the mating bond was strong enough to keep Chi-chi from changing her mind. But if she decided to go with him I would let her even though it would slowly kill me. My brothers and I had discussed that as well if she went with him my pack would be split between my two brothers. I could only hope that she would choose me instead.

Walking into the barn my eyes beheld the most beautiful and precious thing in my life my mate. Could I hold on to her only fate could tell.
