green peeps through.
the soil, parting
like the red sea.they wave to me,
it's a relief.i did it.
i did it.the sun shine spill
like oil into the ocean.
it smothers the plants.
they love it.i did it.
i did it.they smile back at me,
hope laced by leaves.the days pass.
unlike before,
they grow and thicken.i did it.
i did it.before long,
the seedlings,
tall and proud
look down on me.they smile
because they know.
only love and care
made them grow.i did it.
i did it.yes, i love them,
my plants,but they need more.
they need all of me
for them to show
that they love me too.i did it.
i did it.
