One month later...

I woke up in a hurry.

Why didn't I hear the alarm?

"Shit!" I hissed, hitting my toe with the bedside table.

Why does it hurt like a bitch?

I grunted and rushed to the bathroom.

I need to pick him up from the airport in about an hour.

It's 4 AM but New-York never sleeps.

And so does the traffic.

..

06:00 AM

The flight was delayed. I groaned in frustration.

I dragged my tired and sleep-deprived body to the nearest coffee shop and sat down.

I missed him.

I ordered my usual drink, took a sip and placed my head on my resting arm on the table.

A couple of minutes of sleep won't hurt anyone.

Seconds are all I need...

..

My eyes fluttered open.

Where am I?

I jerked up quickly, scanning my surroundings.

Oh, I'm at the airport.

Oh my God!

I slept at the airport!

As I was about to stand up from my seat, I froze at the sight in front of me.

Gabriel was in the seat opposite of mine, adopting the same position I was in moments ago.

In a deep slumber, softly snoring. He must've been tired. The poor man...

How did he find me?

The same way I always find my way back to him...

He looked peaceful, I couldn't bring myself to wake him up.

I grabbed my phone and walked out of the coffee shop.

Standing near the entrance and keeping him in my line of vision, I called Brandon.

"Miss Aubert." He picked up after the first ring and I smiled.

"Where are you, Brandon?"

"At the firm." He quickly answered.

Bet you are.

Aspyn and I should definitely have the TALK.

"Grab a cab and meet me at the airport please, I have my car with me, but I need you to drive. I don't think my mind is clear enough to handle New-York's traffic." I instructed and walked back to my seat.

Still sleeping.

"You don't know how I much I missed you, baby," I whispered to him, knowing deep down that his heart is listening to me.
