"What about that one?"

"Nah."

"And that one over there?"

"Too colorful for my eyes."

"What about this one right here."

"Oh, this could work actually."

"Finally."

I laughed at Gabriel's tortured face and kept walking around the store.

After Tyler's quick departure, Gabriel asked me to go furniture shopping with him.

The penthouse he will be moving into needs some homey stuff as he said and I am a woman and I know about those stuff.

"It's just a pillow for God's sake, Ella." He mumbled.

"It is, but it could make or break your decor." I winked at him playfully which earned me a subtle groan.

"Enough, let's go to the bedroom section," Gabriel said as he grabbed my hand and dragged me to the bedroom area of the store.

"Choose one for me." He added and positioned me in front of the different mattresses.

I looked at him confused.

"But I'm not the one who'll be sleeping on it. You should pick the one you like and find comfortable." I instructed, barely managing to say the few last words as images of me lying beside him flooded my mind.

No, too soon.

You have to focus on your priorities.

And he's not your priority for now.

...or is he?

"Hmm...I think that one looks good. Let's try it out." He said and dragged me by my hand again.

Surprisingly, I let him be.

"What do you mean try..." I started to say as I found myself pushed on the mattress with a yelp, strong arms holding me down.

"Gabriel! What are you doing?" I half yelled in surprise.

"What? You don't find it comfortable?" He grinned, humor and mischief in his bright gray eyes.

I looked around but nobody was here. It's like the store was deserted.

"Where are the staff?" I asked Gabriel who was looking at me intently.

"I dismissed them." He answered firmly.

"What?" I jumped up relieving myself from his hold. "Why?"

"We need to talk Ella." He got up and helped me do the same.

"I know but not here," I said, trying my best to postpone what is coming.

"And where do you think is more appropriate?"

"I don't know...I...somewhere else." I started but he cut me off.

"Daniella." He whispered, stepping closer to me until our feet touched.

My heart started to beat faster.

"I like you." He confessed but quickly took it back. "No, actually I don't."

I looked at him confused.

"It's something much more than that." He continued. "I want to be with you Daniella, I want you in my life."

My breath hitched and I started to panic.

"You don't know what you're saying, Gabriel. You don't know me, I.."
