Chapter 5:who wouldve thought

Betty's pov:
Jughead made it clear on plenty occasions that him Toni were just friends and I believe it I really do .but him and Toni have a connection I admit I get really jealous sometimes because come on I'm not afraid to admit she's super pretty like most girls in riverdale.but after seeing what I saw today I realized jughead doesn't care for her in that way like they way they were fussing wasn't like husband and wife it was like brother and sister but it still didn't stop me from wondering what was going on.
Class started and Cheryl walked in just in time and took her seat and something was off I've seen Cheryl pissed,upset,angry,and even happy.but this look was new it was like she was just completely blank like there was nothing to it just blank.i shrugged it off because of course it was Cheryl she had more mood swings than a pregnant person.
Free period everyone was talking about what happened earlier Kevin the most.
Then jughead came in we all looked up shooting questions with our looks "Betty can we talk a sec?". "Sure" .we walked and he explained that they were talking to Toni and just making sure she was well um he tried to avoid the fact that she was in trouble I'm guessing "safe",he said . "were okay tho right?" He questioned,I nodded in response .Then the bell rang for class and off we went .

Narrators prospective:

Sweet pea brought Toni to his place a went back to school.as much as he hated to admit it he liked it there .the only reason fangs went back because there was nothing else to do .
He walked in and started to get his things out his locker kinda of lingering since the bell didn't ring again for him for another 7 minutes. Then he caught Cheryl's eye then they kinda gazed at each other for a few seconds.

Cheryl pov:
I don't know its weird I was expecting my bitch powers to kick in but it was like I didn't have the energy. to many things were happening at once and I knew i didn't want to end things with Toni and I think Toni felt the same but being the hot headed girls we are we didn't admit it and either one of us were any less stubborn to admit it.dazed at my locker I snapped back into reality when a kid fell , nobody did anything really he just got up and continued his day as normal.but I did catch the eyes of sweet pea and no matter what was going on with me and Toni and if he had feelings for Toni or not I cared for her and I just wanted to know what was going on .
I walked up to him "jeez twice in one day you just can't get enough huh? blossom",he said.suddenly I had the energy that came with being a bitch again . "Let's cut to the chase we don't like each other for many reasons all I need to know from you is what's up with Toni" I stated.he turned around with a disappointed smirk on his face if that makes since. "so it's true",he said fixing his books in his locker not making eye contact with me. "what's true?" " I know about you and Toni". "what about me and Toni",I said as if I didn't know. "okay we can play it like that ,all you need to know is that she's doing things and we don't agree with them". "What things". "look if she wants to tell you she will"he said .i walked off knowing i wasn't going to get any more information from him. "but Cheryl " he said, stopping me in my tracks causing me to walk back ."piece of advice stay away from her, trust me you'll make things worst,Toni is",he began . "Toni is dangerous when it comes down to feelings". "And you're not just saying that because you're in love with her? ",I said clearly joking but wanting a real answer .He smirked "I'm saying it because I was in love with her".and he walked off I didn't know what to think but it must be bad if I have to stay away.
