Sam POV

It had been two days since I got out of the hospital and today was my first escort day. I knew what was involved in the job. I might have to sleep with the client, which wasn't a pleasant idea, but what did I have to lose? Absolutely nothing.

I sat at the vanity backstage, covering up the bruise that was starting to disappear and healing well. The blonde hair wasn't covered by a wig tonight, which was kind of nice, but I had lost some of the safely I felt. Instead of skimpy lingerie a long black dress hugged my figure, it was opened all the way up to the thigh, but was extremely expensive and gorgeous. Leo was taking very good care of me lately, probably cause he felt guilty. I slipped on a gold bracelet, necklace, and ring before putting on another layer of bright red lipstick.

"Are you ready Laura?" Leo came up behind me and rested his hands on my shoulders, giving them a reassuring squeeze as he smiled. I nodded in response before standing and heading to the door, my black heels clicking against the hardwood floor.

"What time must he return me? Or am I his for the whole night?" Leo smiled and took my hand, kissing the back of it.

"I would never let anyone keep my perfect gem for the whole night! Don't worry, this guy only wants a pretty girl to take to dinner and then you'll be back before the clock strikes 12. Tomorrow you'll be dancing here so don't get used to this lavish life every night! Hell my wife would love to do this stuff, but I won't let her for obvious reasons." We shared a laugh before I nodded and kissed his cheek.

"Thank you Leo for being so kind. I'll see you when I get back and I look forward to normal work tomorrow." He escorted me to the await limo and I sat down, getting comfortable as he closed the door. The limo was driving to the client's house so I had the small TV and radio to myself for awhile. I turned on the radio and closed my eyes, relaxing as some soothing song was playing, then the DJ rudely cut it off at the end.

"Now here is a band that is just finishing up their tour here in the states and will be taking a short little break before picking back up in DC. Here's their hit! Pompeii!" I opened my eyes and looked at the radio as if it was a person. How I missed his voice. I hadn't heard it in months and I wanted to cry so badly, but I couldn't ruin the layers of make up. I sat up and turned it up a little before laying down on the long seat and closing my eyes for a moment. I could remember every detail about his face. His eyes were pools of safety that I could get lost in and drown without getting hurt. Or at least I thought I was safe. His arms were warm and comforting, even if he wasn't strong I felt like nothing bad could get me. Yet they were around another woman's body the last time I saw them. I quickly turned the radio to a different station and blinked a few times to halt any tears that dared to leave my eyes.

We pulled up to a large mansion, exotic cars parked outside the garage, clearly a way to show off. I sat up and fixed what I could of my dress before the business man slid into the limo and handed me a paper.

"Dinner with the parents. Names and things you need to remember before we get there." I laughed slightly and glanced at the paper before looking at him.

"You use escorts to fool your parents you're a good man? That's a first." I looked back at the paper and began memorizing the details, which was easy for me.

"Well ya. My name is-"

"Don...34...works at some stock company...blah blah blah...don't worry I've got this." I smiled politely before sitting the paper down. He smiles back very kindly and nodded.

"You're not what I expected. Leo usually sends me a dumb woman whose English is less than perfect."

"Well I'm doing this just cause Leo though it would be a nice change for me." I looked out the window as the limo came to a stop outside of an obvious 5 star restaurant. Don helped me out before we interlocked arms. He had black hair that was slicked back, strong, tall, and well dressed. Any girl would be lucky to have him yet my mind was stuck on a crazy messy haired musician all hours of the day.

I sat through dinner with his parents, acting as if we were the perfect couple and they believed every lie that left my crimson lips. Once dinner was over we had a nice limo ride back to his place before I was left alone in the silence. That could have been Dan and I. With his parents, enjoying a nice meal and talking about our life plans. I could feel my makeup sliding down my face because of the tears that had escaped my eyes. I ran my fingers through my hair, trying to calm myself.

"Dan...Dan Smith" I said his name. It was like a curse word that flowed off my tongue. The first time we met on the lift he could barely say his name without stuttering from nerves. Then his voice became my refuge. It lulled me to sleep when my nightmares awoke me. I wiped my eyes with the handkerchief before taking a few deep breaths and moving to the seat closes to the door as I began to notice we were getting close to the club.

I put on a straight face as the drive stopped the car, then opened the door for me. Leo was standing outside and smiled, handing me my payment for the night's work then sent me home. I walked home slowly, trying not to think about him, yet his voice played in my head still even when I got home and was getting ready for bed.

I climbed into my cold sheets and turned on my side to look at the empty space beside me before whispering his name and closing my eyes to sleep.

Alex POV

We had exactly two days to finish preparing for our search of New York for Sam and I was personally freaking out. I knew Dan was on the edge and Kyle seemed to be as sturdy rock with Woody and Will. I guess for the sake of Dan and I. I noticed Dan wasn't smiling like he use to or even sleeping properly, which didn't surprise me. The guys were at a show so I was alone in the tour bus, looking through pages and pages of women that worked in strip clubs. Dan was right. If she wasn't doing this then we would have no shot at even finding her in the short time we had in New York before finishing off the tour and returning to London.

I wrote down a few numbers and gave each one a ring, calling about any dancer that fit the description of Sam.

"Hi...Yes I'm looking for a blonde woman...roughly 5 foot 8 inches and uh...blue eyes." I waited for an answer from the manger whose name I had as John Winters.

"Yup we got one. I have to protect my dancers so you'll have to stop by to meet her. Have a nice evening." With that he hung up and I sighed. I had more questions, but I knew he wouldn't tell me much more. I hung up and dialed the other strip club, trashy dance music playing as I waited for an answer.

"Leo Jackson, how may I help you?"

"Hi! I'm looking for a friend of mine...She's blonde...5 feet 8 and blue eyes? Do you happen to have a dancer with that description?"

"In fact yes I do, but she's escorting tonight and well she won't be in till tomorrow night. You're welcome to stop by and speak with her...I can't give out her name for security purposes. Her stage name is Londy, just ask for her when you come in darling." I felt my heart race slightly at the possible connection. The chances of a blonde girl with a dancer name as Londy not being Sam was extremely low. It had to be her. I couldn't chance her running from us so I had to lie quickly.

"Thank you Mr.Jackson. I don't think that is who I'm looking for, sorry for the inconvenience. Have a nice evening."

It narrowed my search down to two clubs, both on the same block. I smiled slightly, feeling hopeful for our quest. We would only waste one day at the clubs and the others could be for either mending their relationship or for continuing the search.

"Leo Jackson...and John Winters..." I uttered the names of the managers I talked to and sighed softly before sitting down the note pad and rubbing my eyes as I yawned. I closed the laptop and wandered up to Kyle and I's shared bunk, crawling in after changing into one of his shirts and just wearing my underwear since it was a warm night on the bus. I closed my eyes, not staying up for the boys, I was too exhausted. I would wake up with just one day till I had the chance to see Sam again.
