Yuuri took slow and quiet steps into the shop, quickly glancing around. The only sound was his heartbeat beating in his ears like a drum. Maybe it was the most recent encounter with Viktor or the ominously empty building, but it made him feel like he was trespassing. It was fuel to his already pestering anxiety. Then, his phone let out a ding, echoing off the walls, making him jump. It awakened the barks, chirps, and meows of the various animals sheltered there. If anyone was here, they'd probably know by now.

He felt his shoulders drop, relaxing. There was no point in being—well, attempting to be—stealthy. Remembering his phone's inconvenient notification, he grudgingly checked his phone.

Pitch It hey how's everything going so far?

Cat Ski Not too great so far. That was a really bad time to send that text.

Pitch It OH my bad

Cat Ski Yeah, nice going you SMELLY.

Pitch It shut up, I know you luv me ;)

Cat Ski It's more of an illusion of "luv" but, okay.

Pitch It :'(

Yuuri rolled his eyes, smiling. With any situation, he knew he could count on Phichit to cheer him up. Coming back to reality, he felt a pair of eyes burning a hole into his back. He turned around, to find a man with eyes the color of an ocean after a storm and hair as soft and shiny like freshly fallen snow, features that are bound to mesmerize anyone, he recalled, hearing Phichit's voice in the back of his mind. The man, who was creepily stalking him behind a corner, fit into that description... for the most part. His hair was disheveled like he was in quite the hurry and his blue-eyed gaze was as piercing as an icicle.

"...Can I help you?" he croaked.

Viktor's eyes slowly widened, the rest of him frozen in place. Apparently, he was not expecting Yuuri to discover him anytime soon.

"Oi! Can you please stop being so edgy? You're ruining my mood," yelled a voice from across the shelter. Was that Yurio?

That sudden outburst was enough to knock Viktor out of his daze. He turned around and slunk away. The Japanese man just stood there, taking in what had just happened. The processing period did not last as long as he wanted though, because a few minutes later, Yurio appeared, practically dragging Viktor behind him by the wrist. Yuuri caught snippets of conversation from them as they progressed towards him.

"I cannot believe I actually have to force you to make up, you're like what—27 years old?"

"But I never—" Viktor tried to squirm out of his grasp.

"HUSH! Be grateful that you have an employee like me."

Yurio gave Viktor one last final shove before walking off. It was truly like grade school all over again.

"So, this is pretty interesting" Yuuri began, trying to start a conversation in the midst of the awkwardness. Viktor struggled a fake laugh.

Yuuri cleared his throat. "Let's get to the point. Why are you taking things out of proportion?" he confronted at last.

"I mean, who wouldn't? You literally sat up and walked away from a confession. That's pretty rude," Viktor responded.

"Well, it wasn't like I intended to confess at that moment, Phichit kind of forced it on me. Besides, I just felt that it wasn't the right time."

"So... you were planning to confess at some point?" Viktor offered, holding his gaze.

"Confess to what?" Yuuri asked, averting his eyes to the ground. Playing stupid wasn't going to get him anywhere but he should at least try.

"Oh my god, now you're just acting stupid. You know what I mean by it, Yuuri Katsuki"

"Oh my god, now you're the one being rude," Yuuri retorted, looking up now.

"I'M the one who's being rude? At least I don't run away from my problems" the Russian man said behind gritted teeth.

"—Yeah, but at least Yuuri here doesn't have manifested jealously like somebody I know" interrupted Yurio, seeming to suddenly stand behind Viktor, arms crossed.

Viktor took a few steps back, almost bumping into Yuuri. "Where did you even come from?!"

"Ah, you see, I learned how to teleport. Ugh, no, from the corner. From which could've done a way better job of hiding yourself." Yurio rolled his eyes.

Yuuri stepped forward, putting his hand on Yurio's shoulder to get his attention. "Wait, did you say jealousy? What do you mean by that?"
