Goodbye

"I told myself I wouldn't cry." Gabbie says to Liza as they put the last box in Gabbie's trunk. Tears falling one by one down their cheeks.
Gabbie was moving. Away from what she'd ever known. Away from Liza. Away from David. Gabbie and Liza had been through what felt like everything together.

"Um so, I like David." Liza admitted to Gabbie.
"I knew it! I could see it in your eyes." Gabbie laughed.

Liza had tears falling down her cheeks, and Gabbie hugged her. Not needing any explanation. She just saw and knew, pulled Liza behind the stage curtain and away from the people.
"You're ok. It's almost over." She whispered in Liza's ear, reassuring her.

Liza sat on her bed, reading the note Gabbie gave her, for about the millionth time.
"I hope you like it, my friend."
Was all Liza needed to feel happy. Gabbie was Liza's best friend. Not just to her, but to the both of them. They felt the same.

"How rude of him! He can't say that about your brother! That's so unprofessional" Gabbie ranted to Liza about what their teacher just said to the small brown girl.
"I know. I hate him. I just cried in the bathroom because of it." She replied.

"I'll come and visit." Liza said, wiping a few tears from Gabbie's cheeks. "Hey maybe I can help you set up your room!" Gabbie laughed along with Liza at her joke.
"Yeah, maybe." Gabbie laughed. Suddenly Liza broke down into tears.
"You're moving so far. I have to plan to visit you, I can't just come over randomly, I can't just have ice cream with you then drive up to work. We can't just walk to 7-Eleven or film whenever. Gabbie you're like my sister, and you're moving." Liza sobs into Gabbie's shoulder, as Gabbie is now hugging her tightly.
"Don't worry I'll visit. I'll call you too!"
"That's not the same."
"I know. At least it's not nothing." Gabbie let's go and Liza looks up,
"It's getting dark, and you have a long drive ahead of you. You should go." Liza says, between sniffles. Gabbie nods and begins to enter her car, taking one last look at Liza, then running back and hugging her, once more.
"I love you." She whispers before getting back into her car. She pulls away and gets a call.
"Hello?"

"I love you too." Says the small girl on the other end.

Hey guys so bit of a different one shot but this is for my friend who is like my own personal Gabbie😂 I love her sm and I wrote this when she told me she was moving. So this one is for you Love.
