She sat outside the red door on the step as she waited for the sun to come out. A boy sat next to her and they conversed.

"David!" She yells to him as she walks out the red door, and running to his moms car for the first day of middle school.
-2010-
They stood in front of the red door after prom, minutes before her curfew. He kissed her softly. "Bye Liza." He said.
-2013-
He had dropped her off at home and walked her to her red door. "I love you Liza." He said.
-2015-
Her parents weren't home, and she and he stumbled through the red door, slamming it behind them.
-2017-
The rain poured as they ran up her front stairs to the red door, that lead into her house. He kissed her goodbye and she stood in front of the red door waving goodbye.

They stood in front of the red door holding their diplomas, and he got down on one knee, proclaiming his love to her.
-2022-
The house they bought reminded her of her childhood. Reminded her of their beginning.
Especially when he painted the door red.
