Days had passed, weeks even. I didn't care though. All that mattered to me was the comfort of my bed. I left only to eat and use the bathroom. School was completely off the cards, like I cared though. I hated the place and the people.
I hadn't seen my mother for a long time either. Her faint sobs were the only sign she was here still. They faded after a while though, she left. Said she couldn't take it anymore. Said how broken she was, but weren't we all?
My aunt moved in with me after that. She was the only thing to keep me sain. I broke out of my shell and we would regularly go for strolls in the park, it really did help clear my mind.
Time passed and I began to realise that there was a world out there and it was waiting for me, calling for me.
I got better and I even visited my old friends. Due to drowning myself in sorrow we lost contact. I never returned their calls or their texts and after a while they also faded.
My aunt had mentioned a few times how they had been asking about me, she lied of course and said I was fine just to save a little of my dignity.
I've grown now. I'm bigger, I'm stronger and I'm ready to face the reality of which is also known as my messed up life.
