Her sharp confident words stole my attention back to her and even though I figured exactly what she meant, my face constricted into confusion on a natural instinct.
She is clueless about the fact that she died.
She woke up to find she was murdered.
And now she wants to know how.
Her eyes held my gaze and her orbs bore into mine, staring intensely as she spoke.
"I was murdered, so you say. What I want is to find out how and by whom.
What you want is to effortlessly take me to hell.
How about a deal, Mr. Devil?"
Her tainted smirk matched my own, and I had long given in to my strange curiosity.
Her mood swings were giving me a whiplash. There was a lot more to this chica than what meets the eyes. If I put my cards on the table I'd either hit the jackpot, or return broke. She could either turn out to be the innocent flower I had presumed, broken behind her tough and dangerous exterior, or may just own up to be a cold vixen capable of serious damage.
But I choose to blindly take all in anyway. I knew the level of power I was risking and the grave danger it could cause. But she could give me what I want. We have a month to the least either way; its a give and take through which we are betting on our lives - literally.
