Authors POV

Skye was seated at the kitchen island as she flipped through a recipe book hoping something catches her eyes.

"What are you doing?" Asked Ms. Park.

She looked up at her lazily. "I'm just looking for something to make."

"Oh" she walked to the fridge. "I'll make Kimichi. It's Jimin' s favorite."

"No you don't have to do that, I'll cook." Skye spoke up as she swong her chair to face the elderly woman.

"I insist. I'll even show you how to make it." She smiled fondly at Skye.

Skye nodded as her eyebrows knitted at how nice the woman was acting to her.

"Well, I'll send Jimin out to get the ingredients." She closed the fridge as she exited the kitchen leaving Skye slightly surprised.

"That's weird." She whispered to herself.

.................

After a hour or so Jimin walked in with two brown paper bags filled of items.

"Hey beautiful." He called for Skyes attention.

She got up as she helped him place the bags down. "Your mom's being weird." Skye told him as she pulled out some fruits he bought.

'What do you mean?, did she say anything?" He asked sounding very concerned.

Skye nodded. "No, she's being nice. She even offered to show me how to make Kimichi"

"My mom's always nice, last night was just her being shocked." He bumped my shoulders.

"Okay if you say so." She whined as she felt his lips press against her cheek making her smile widely.

"Don't worry, she's harmless." He rubbed his hands against her back before leaving the kitchen.

She stood there as she separated every item that was needed for the Kimichi since his mother left a list.

.......

"Great, it actually came out good on your first try" she praised her.

"Really?" Skye felt a little skeptical.

Ms. Park nodded her head in agreement. "I'm sorry about the other night, that wasn't right of me. Maybe we should hang out some other time, away from the MEN." She rolled her eyes.

Skye smiled at the woman's action. "That'll be great."

"So how long have you and my son been dating?" She asked.

"About a week" Skye lied, they started dating a couple hours ago.

Ms. Park hummed at her response. "I thought it was longer than that, you seem to know alot about him."

"Well, I'm a great listener" Skye responded making the woman smile softly at her.

"I'll get the table fixed." She left Skye in the kitchen as she finished wiping the counter tops.

After a couple minutes everyone was seated at the table. The tension felt a little different now that everyone was acquainted with each other.

"So Skye, how's my son been treating you?" His father asked.

Skye looked up at Jimin as he gave her a cute smile. " He's been great to me, I might actually like him" she joked. She was much in LIKE with him.

"Oh honey, did you know they've only been dating for a week?" His mother spoke.
