Hiccup's POV a few weeks later:
It's been 5 weeks. Cloud Jumper came 4 weeks ago and told us the rest of the legend. Apparently, the prince gets his mark 15 years after being bitten, at midnight.

I made Toothless a new tail fin and a sadel. Now he can fly and I can rid him.

I've grown pretty close to Toothless, and now we're like best friends.

We both agreed that by becoming famous at dragon training people would listen to me. Thus letting us explain to them that dragons are not what we think they are. So I began to learn tricks about dragons from Toothless.

As we progressed in dragon training, I used those tricks to take down the Dragon without killing it. And the caged dragons know I'm the Dragon Prince because I come at night to feed them. And I promised that I'll free them one day. This has been going on smoothly for a while. That is.... Until....

"You did it Hiccup! You get to kill the dragon!" that happened. I can't kill a dragon! And I can't pull out of dragon training! What could I do! What could I do!

I could..... Run away. Yes that should work. People didn't love me until I began to take the lead in training. So they wouldn't be sad if the fish bone was gone.

They didn't leave me alone since yesterday and I think I'm losing my mind! When my past 'bullies' asked me to hang out with them later I knew I needed to leave as soon as possible.

"Yeah, of course. Um.... If you'd excuse me.... Um I've got.... Some training to do. Yes training! So see- see you later!" I yell. Hopefully they took the lie. I already got my important stuff to the cove this morning and I'm gonna leave now. I ran as fast as I could. I gotta reach Toothless so we could leave. I already told him what happened and he said he'll support me no matter what.

As I ran through the forest, I was well aware of a certain blonde girl right on my tracks. 'Dammit Astrid! What can I do to loose you?! Wait. I know!' I began to take different routes and hide behind a tree. Just as I thought that she's going to pass me, she stopped a few feet away from my tree to look around her. 'Just my luck' I thought sarcastically. Then I threw a rock as far away as I could, which wasn't that far but will lead her to the wrong direction. Hopefully.

Astrid ran after 'me' that went that way -much to my relief- and when she was out of sight, I ran to the cove.

As soon as I reached the cove, Toothless tackled me.

"Yeah. Yeah. I missed you too, bud. Ready to go? " I asked him as I got up.

"Yeah!" I chuckle at his enthusiasm. Who could blame him? I'm pretty excited myself.

I started to load our stuff and adjust his tail. Then I remembered something. I can't just disappear into thin air. I have to think of something. 'Come on! Think, Hiccup! Think! Aha!' I took off my fur jacket, ripped some of it off, and asked Toothless to burn a part of it.

I took my dagger and cut my hand -which caused me to scream so I had to act fast- and splash my blood on my jacket to make the 'Hiccup-was-killed-by-a-dragon' seen believable.

Then I rode Toothless -drooping my dagger in the process- and whisper-yelled "GO TOOTHLESS! GO!" I think I caught glimpse of Astrid entering the cove. Who cares? She won't see me anyways, she'll only see Toothless, which is only going to prove that I was 'killed' by a dragon. A Night Furry to be precise. When we took off into the night sky, I have to admit, I felt relief. No more hiding Toothless. No more keeping secrets. No more lying to everyone. Me and Toothless looked at each other and we both did the same thing.

"FREEEEDOOOOM"

Astrid's P.O.V:
I heard a twig snap. Hiccup must've went this way. I ran in that direction as fast as I could but I didn't see him. I was about to turn back until......

I heard a scream. Followed by a sound of a dragon shooting fire.

I didn't know what to do until I recognized the voice.

"Hiccup." It was barely a whisper. Fear controlled me as I found myself running so fast that I thought I could beat a Speed Stinger!

I then found myself in a cove and I saw something no Viking ever saw before. A Night Furry. Or so I think it was. It was more like a shadow. But Night Furies were known for speed so I didn't stand there long. It would be pointless to try and take it down, it was merely three seconds and it was already out of sight!

Something shiny caught my eye so I ran to it. And what I saw terrified me.

There, lying on the ground was a jacket torn and burned with blood splattered all over it. Beside it were some pitch black scales that I recognize as a Night Furrys'. And what I saw next horrified me more. I picked up the bloody, shining object and saw a familiar mark.

"Hiccup's dagger." I was now on the verge of tears. I may've been cold to him but deep down, I liked him. Loved him infact. No one deserves do die like this. Well, maybe Snotloud does but that's it! No one deserves it!

I took the bloodied dagger and some of the dragon's scales and hurried back to the village. Stoik must see this. He'll either be devastated, won't belive me, or I won't even find him at all -cause I don't know if he came back from finding the dragon island yet- (Alright. If you vote for devastated, say '1'. If you vote for not believing Astrid, say '2'. I've you vote for didn't come back yet say 'NIGHT FURRY'. That's all.)

But one thing I know for sure. Life on Berg won't be the same without Hiccup.
