Chapter 1

“Before we start fighting over rooms, I say we flip a coin if we want the same one,” My best friend and now roommate, Dom, said.

         “Fair enough,” Ryan, our other roommate, agreed. We then commenced to choose the rooms. I walked to the one on the right and immediately wanted that one.

         “I call this one!” I yelled so they can both hear me.

         “And I call this one!” Ryan said from the room across from me.

         “I’m cool right here,” Dom said, walking out. I was honestly surprised at how fast that happened. Ryan and I walked out of our respective rooms and met with Dom in the middle.

         “Well, that was handled maturely,” I sighed, satisfied.

         “I’m starving,” Ryan said randomly.

         “The guys want to meet up for dinner at Victor and Kevin’s apartment. You cool with that, Jill?” Dom asked me. I shook my head smiling that meant take-out!

         We all brought most of our stuff in our rooms. The guys said they were going already, so I told them I’d catch up. When they left, I shuffled through my suitcase trying to find an outfit to change into from my moving in clothes. I found an LA Lakers t-shirt from a game Dom and I went to this season, and dark washed jeans that I recognized as really comfy. I slipped them on with my mustard colored vans and fixed up my hair and make-up. I made my way to the 5th floor to Victor and Kevin’s apartment. The one and only Victor King answered the door.

         “Look whose fashionably late,” Victor said, smiling and pulling me into a bear hug. Best hugs ever!

         “Well, I couldn’t miss take-out!” I retorted. He laughed his laid back laugh, and pulled me into the apartment. Ryan, Dom, and Kevin were all sitting in front of the flat-screen watching the latest “24” episode. They all looked up when I walked in and Kevin came up to hug me.

         “Hey there neighbor,” he said kindly. It made me feel really welcomed and warm.

         “Well, that’s weird to hear from you. How did Dom talk me into this?” I said jokingly, hugging Kev back. We all went to the sitting area and watched the remaining minutes of “24”.

         “Where are the rest of the guys, they said they were coming for dinner,” Victor remarked after the episode ended.

         “I’ll give them a call,” Ryan said pulling out his phone. After a half hour of waiting for the guys we finally ordered the food. Chester and JR said there was traffic on the way, and Andrew said his girlfriend needed him to handle some “stuff”, whatever that meant.

         The food arrived and we sat around the table eating and talking about a concert some of the guys went to. I looked over at Dom and I felt completely content. I’ve known him since I was in diapers and am beyond happy that he grew up to be the best man I know, and the best friend I’ll ever have. I also felt incredibly lucky that this amazing group of guys we’ve known for around two years surrounded Dom and me. My life had been so hard up to that point and I can’t be more thankful to Dominic and his family for taking me in when I didn’t have a family of my own. He was definitely a brother to me. Snapping fingers in front of my face woke me up from my daze of thoughts.

         “Earth to Jill. Anyone there?” Chester said from beside me. I giggled.

         “Sorry, guess I zoned out.”

         “Yeah, you think. So what do you think of your new apartment?” he asked, politely.

         “I love it. And I love that I’m so close to you guys now,” I said honestly. Chester only lived a mile or two away from us now.

         “So am I,” he said with a genuine smile. I was locked in his gaze for a few seconds until Victor called my name.

         “Yeah,” I said, disappointed that he ruined a moment. That was really weird. I mean, Chester and I have always had a really close friendship, but it was never as intense as that moment.

         “Come here for a second?” I walked over to him in the kitchen.

I decided to write a fanfiction about my favorite YouTubers! This is kind of short, I promise I'll upload longer chapters when the story gets some readers. This is my first story, btw!
