Chapter 6

(A:N) The long awaited chapter 6! I hope you guys enjoy it, it was kind of a difficult chapter to write, but it's done! It's a fair length =)

“I’ll…call you tomorrow,” he said with one final peck. I shook my head yes, being a little overwhelmed by the kiss. He walked off smiling beautifully at me. I walked into the apartment, lightheaded with a goofy smile on my face, to see familiar faces…

Chapter 6:

            Another surprise...last thing I honestly expected to see today. There they sat staring up at me from my couch sitting next to Ryan and Dom. The amount of emotion I was feeling in that second was overwhelming...there was honestly no other word to describe it. Lauren and Justin sat there. I hadn't seen them in over 7 years and I couldn't believe they were...right there. The emotions I felt about the two of them were extremely different. Lauren I was glad to see, but Justin brought back memories that literally knocked the breath out of me. I felt like I was staring at them for hours, but in reality it was only about a second.

            "Jill...I," Justin said. I just couldn't bear to look at them. I tuned him out I knew he was talking, saying something. I just didn't want to hear it. So I did the one thing I could to not have a breakdown...I ran. Not knowing where I was going or where my feet were taking me. I found myself outside of the apartment looking for Chester incase he hadn't left yet. My mind was going a million miles a minute and I was having trouble with my breathing.

            "Oh my God! Are you okay? What the hell happened," I heard from behind me. I turned around to see Chester looking at me worriedly. I ran to him, crying. I was in his arms and suddenly I felt calmer. He guided me to the lobby and sat me down on the bench still holding me. "Are you ready to tell me what's going on?" He asked gently after my sobs faltered. I took a deep breath and looked at him intently.

            "When I went inside...there were people...from my past. People I thought i'd never see again," I said quickly looking down. His hand was still in mine.

            "Who is it?" He said looking angry. I knew where his mind jumped to...

            "No, no!" I said quickly. It is someone from high school, but...not him, someone he was close to. His best friend, Justin, and my best friend from high school is with him, Lauren. I don't know what they're doing back here!" I nearly shouted out in frustration. Suddenly the lobby door leading into the apartment was pushed open and Ryan was standing there. He looked relieved when he saw me.

            "Thank God, Jill!" He sat down next to us on the bench. "Listen I don't know about much of what's going on, but I do know that girl was one of your best friends in high school... she says she misses you. The guy, Dom wasn't too comfortable with him he says he was friends with someone who hurt you," Ryan said calmly.

            "Ryan...I really don't want to see him right now. I could see Lauren though..." I was shaking again, remembering things that hurt to remember.

            "Of course you don't have to see him, whenever you're ready, but I think Dom is talking to him about something," he said, and I sighed a breath of relief.

"I'll call Victor and ask if you could stay at his until they leave." I nodded my head as Ryan called Victor. Chester leaned down and kissed my cheek.
