Chapter 7

Recap:

“Hey Ryan,” I said making him jump a little.

            “Oh hey Jill, how are you this morning?” he asked in a concerned tone.

            “I’m…better,” I replied trying to reassure him. “I was actually hoping you’d be cool if I came with you to the auditions.”

            “Yeah, of course. I’m leaving in a half hour if that’s ok.”

            “Yeah, I’ll be ready.”

            I went to my room trying to scrimmage through my closet, looking for something suitable for the hot LA air and for whatever cameras that’ll be interviewing the guys. I found a pair of beige walking shorts, a cute purple Guess shirt, and a pair of bedazzled sandals. I put on some light make up and attempted casual beach curls in my hair. I went out to meet Ryan and make our way to the auditions.

  Chapter 7

            “Well, you look nice,” Ryan said when I walked into the kitchen. He was sitting on the stool drinking coffee.

            “Thanks,” I told him, smiling. I walked over to the stool next to him and sat down. “So, who’s coming today?”

            “I think all of us,” he said trying to think. My phone started ringing out of the blue. I looked at the caller ID and it was Chester. Goddamn, he had an effect on me without even being here! I wasn’t used to this. I picked up with a smile on my face.

            “Hey,” I said into the speaker, sounding a little too happy.

            “Jill, how are you? Are you ok?” he asked quickly. Wow, he sounded even more frantic than me.

            “Yeah, Chester. I’m fine. I just needed a good night’s sleep to sort everything out in my mind.”

            “Thank God, I was worried about you. I didn’t want to leave you last night.” He was so sweet I couldn’t help but think to myself what I did to deserve someone like him.

            “Well, I’m ok, don’t worry about me. On another note; are you coming to the auditions today?” I asked hopeful. I noticed Ryan was nice enough to make me a cup of coffee. I mouthed a “thank you” to him and took a sip.

            “Yeah I’ll be able to make it there in a bit. I just have a couple errands to run, but don’t miss me too much,” he said playfully.

            “I’ll try not to,” I said giggling.  After we hung up I heard a knock at the door and got up to see who it was. I was pleasantly surprised by a smiling Victor.

            "Hey! What are you doing here," I said, excited as I embraced him and let him in. 


            "I was just wondering if I could catch a ride with you guys. You are coming, right?" He asked me.

            "Wouldn't miss it," I said. "Want some coffee?"


            "Sure," he said sitting next to Ryan.
