I had to call them, if i dont then i would have to lie and im a terrible liar. God there going to be so mad, and ironically at me! Shut up, come on Sawyer you can do this.
I looked at the black phone laying on my bed haunting my thoughts. It had been three days and i hadnt had a single call or text from Jackie, sadly i was dissapointed i guess i thought she would fight but clearly i was wrong!
I cursed aloud and picked up my black Iphone.
I clicked the number and the ringing went through my ear. i nervously bit my nails as it rang for the third time before someone answered,
"Devlin residence!" my mum sang though the phone making me gulp,
"h-hey mum!" i said and i could feel her smile
"Sawyer! how are you sweetie, its been so long!" she said, i hadnt called in about three weeks!
"im good mum thanbks!" i said fiddiling with the duvet sheets,
"good, Hows you and Jackie!" i sighed heavily,
"yeah about that mum!"
"oh, whats happend?" she asked clearly cconcerned,
"mum..." i could feel the tears that were threating to spill,
"its okay dear you can tell me!" she said and i smiled, she's always so caring,
"mum Jackie cheated on me!" i said in one breath then the tears came pouring out,
"oh my baby, when was it?" she asked full of sympathy,
"it wasnt the first time!" i8 said wip[ing the tears away,
"what?!?!?!" she practically yelled,
I then explained everything to her how after three weeks of daiting she cheated on me and how i always caught her. She apparently was a lesbain ut fucked more guys than gals. I said how i hoped it was the only time in our marriage that she cheated on me but i was obviously doubted that.
As you can imagine my mum was furious and for the first time, i believe so anyway swore. I was rather shocked,
"where is that bitch so i can kill her!" she said angrily down the phone,
"Mum!" i siad shocked,
"im sorry honey, i shouldnt have swore i just dont like seeing you hurt and how on earth could you marry her after all that!" she said and i sniffed,
"i loved her, and i still do!" i said breaking into tears,
"aww honey, why dont you come up for afew days get some time of work!" thats when i remembered about work and i had a slight smile on my face,
"well actually, you know how there was a threat about the barracks?" i asked,
"yes i remeber have they sorted that?2 she asked,
"yeah they have, wer emoving to Glasgow in two weeks!" i siad and she cheared,
"i cant wait sweetie, well the quicker your here the better we can forget about this!" she said and i nodded forgetting she cant see me,
"yeah i'll call you soon mum!" i siad,
"alright sweetie, stay strong and get onto a good lawyer, call your brother see if he can help!" she said,
"will do thanks mum!2 i siad,
"bye sweetie!"
"bye!2 i said and hung up.
I gave my brother, Kolin a quick call as he was a lawyer. I said i would explain later but he got the point when i asked for a divorce lawyer. He was the only one who knew everything, he said i was stupid but would stand by me as a brother.
I called the lawyer and he said he would draft something up and when i got to Scotland i should visit, he wanted to work with my brother aswell and see everything from a family light.He talked a lawyer junk that i had to call my brother to help.
There was a call on the hotel phone in my room and i answered it,
"hello?" i asked,
"hello there Miss Devlin there is someone down in reception waiting for you!" the man said and i groaned,
"give me five!" i said and hung up.
I looked myself in the mirror and shrugged. I was in some black joggers, my 'Trust me im a pilot' black hoodie and some neon blue trainer socks.
I gave a shrug, i dont now who it is but i certinly wasnt caring.I left my room making sure i had my key and went in the lift. There was an elderly woman there who gave me a slightly smile. "are you a pilot?2 she asked refering to my jumper "yeah i am!" i said and she smiled widely,
"my son wa sin the RAF, unfortunatly he died in combat Sergent Holeman!" i gasped "do you knwo him?" she asked with hope "we were good, good friends!" i said and she smiled "im so sorry about what happened!" i said and she smiled warmly,
"it happens!" she said as the door pinged open revealing the waiting are recption place, i dont know okay!
"take care!" she said and i nodded feeling tears in my eyes, he was my mentor as a pilot. Im not in combat though, he was the funniest guy and we would joke about my sexuality that he would convert me. If i was staright though he'd have been on my list!
I snapped out my daze and headed upto reception "hey someone was waiting for me!" i said leaning my arms on the table and my head resting on them. The man smiled at me, he pointed ehind me.
i turned to see Jackie there in her work stuff, a grey trouser suit, turqoise blouse and some black heels. I rolled my eyes and headed to the elevator "Sawyer wait!" she called, i dont knoiw why but i stopped but didnt turn,
I felt her small dainty hands touch my shoulder and stupidly making me relax into her "please can we just talk!" she pleaded with me "letsa go to your room!" she said. I knew where that would lead us, like always-sex!
I cringed at the thought, i couldnt have sex with her it wasnt appealing to me anymore. I shook my head "we'll go to the cafe!" i said making her look at me with slight shock but nod anyway. We walked into the cafe at the hotel and took a seat,
"Sawyer your not wearing any shoes!" she said sternyl, she never liked that i really cvouldnt be bothered "m not leaving the building!" i said making her huff.
"so what you wanna talk about!" i said as my coffee arrived "look we love each other and i made a mistake, lets just go back home and cuddle up with some movies like we use to!" she said and i looked at her,
"like we use to?" i asked and she looked at me confused "Jackie you cheated on me, and with a guy im soryr but i thought you were agy or am i mistaken. Jackie were getting a divorce, you cheated on me all throughout high-schoo when we dated, you cheat on me when were married im not letting you cheat on me anymore,!" i said,
The look of guilt was in her yes. She was my first ever girlfriend, literlly. She holds my first kiss, my virginity, my frst date everything you could ever think of belongs to her, my one true love and she cheats on me!
"im leaving here and heading to Scotland, you want to talk talk to my lawyer!2 i said getting up from the table, "why are you leaving is it because of me?" she asked and i laughed a bit,
"dont flatter yourself Jackie!" i said and she looked hurt whihc hurt me slightly but i didnt show it. "no i cane to tell you the other day but you were screwing Mark. They saved the barracks, but were moving to Scotland. I came to say we can move to Scotland like you wanted, but you were wanting something else!" i said,
I walked away and over to the lift. I steped inside, when i turned i saw Jackie standing at the table not looking at me but what is she doing, checking out the waitor, yes a guy!
