I was playing my Xbox when my phone went, i didnt chek callert ID as i picked up,
"Hello?" i asked trying to shoto everything my way
"Sawyer..." i heard Jeff say then nothing,
She sounded so weak and vulnerable it scared the living daylights out of me. I quickly put my shoes on and ran up to her apartment and guess what the door wa slocked, for a first.
"damnit Jeff!" i mumbled as i banged the door in. "pww!" i held my arm as it hurt but i soon forgot it when i saw Jeff. She was lting in a pile of glass which use to be the cofee table.
"Jeff!" i shouted and ran over to her. I tried shkaing her but i got no response. I got my phone and called an ambulance and they said they'd be on there way.
I felt tears come to my eyes, seeing her like this just got me upset. "Jeff please wake up!" i said through tears but i got nothing.
Two paramedics came and i got to go in the ambulance with her. They took her in a room and i had to wait outside as i wasnt allowed in.
I sat outside nursing a coffee. i texted George and told him where i was and if it was okay with his friends parents he could stay longer.
A doctor came out the rooma nd smiled at me "hi how is she?" i asked and she smile d"well your friend is very brave and is going to be okay!" she said and is miled,
"hows the baby?" i asked and she smiled widely "another brave person, the baby is doing fine!2 i let out a huge sigh of relief "can i see them?2 i asked and she nodded "she's sleeping at the mometn!2 she said and i went in the room,
She was lying still on the bed with a drip attachted to her arm. She looked so lifeless and sad. I sat beside her holding her hand trying not to cry at the sight.
I felt like my heart was being stabbed, knowing that i couldnt do anything to help her was hurting me- killing me.
A phone went and i recognised it as Jeffs, it was sitting on the side table beside her bed. I hesitated before looking at it, caller ID said 'MUM'- do i answer? She never said anythign about her parents... oh god
"Hello?" i said into the phone feeling nervous,
"Hello, Jeff?" the woman sounded a bit like my mum, hmble
"No this is a friend fo Jeffs" i said
"oh right, can i speak to Jeff please?"
"um... she's... she's in hospital at the moment...."
"oh my, what happened?"
"... her girlfriedn, Clara... um... put her there..." oh god this is going well!
"what hospital, i need to see her!" she said alramed,
"Johnslow!" i said,
"okay im on my way!" she said and hung up.
I felt someone squeeze my bhand and i looked ot see Jeff smiling at me "ehy your awake!" i said softly and she smiled wipping a tear away from her eyes "hey now dont cry its okay" i said hugging her,
She held onto me crieing lightly "hows the baby?" she asked and i could hear the worry in her voice "the baby is perfectly fine and so are you!" i said kissing her head,
"thank you so much Sayer i dont know i can ever thank you!" she said and i sat beside her on trhe bed,
"you dont need to thank me as long as your safe im happy!" i said and she smiled widely "i broke up with her, were no longer together!" she said and i had the biggest smile on my face not only as she was single but they bwere btoh safer from that monster,
"Sawyer?" Jeff asked and i smiled at her "um.. you knwo how you said you liked me like that..." she said and i nodded shyly "yeah...." i said finding the covers very intresting,
"i like you too!" she said and i looked at ehr 2what?" i asked and she smiled "i like you like that too!" she said and i smiled "you dont know how much that means to me but i think we should wait!" she frowned and i got worried,
" but you like me..." she said and i nodded "yeah i liek you but you just got out of a relationship and you've been through a lot i think t would be besty you get settled first and just get your barings before jumping into something but i will wait a million years if i have to!" i said and she smiledd,
She hugged me and i held ont her tight. Someone cleared there throat and anelderly woman was standing oin the dorrway looking very emotional "mum!2 Jeff siad,
The woman came running over hugging Jeff as they btoh cried. They pulled away and the woman smiled at me "mum this is Sawyer a friend, Sawyer this is my mum!" she said, i shook the owmans hand and i smiled,
"nice to meet you!" i said and she engulfed me in a hug "thank you!" she said and i smiled. I sat off the bed with jeff and she frowned making me laugh a bit. We got into a steady conversation when there was a knock on the door,
"cxome in!2 Jeff siad and who comes in, my mum. I raised an eyebrow as she carried a basket with cookies in it "Sawyer?2 she asked and i l;ooked at her "mum what are you doing here?" i asked "i sell my cookies here you know that!" i shifted awkwardl;y,
"yeah... i remember that..." i said and she sighed "cookies!" i said taking one from my mums backet "Sawyer no..." she said but i ate it anyway "what?" i asked and she sighed,
"there for patients, they have stuff in them!" she said and i swallowed the cookie "tastes fine tro me!2 i said taking another one and she held her head in her hands as i took my third.
"no more!" she said slapping my hand away "owie that hurt!" i said pouting and my mum looked at me. I sat on the chair feeling like i was high,
I laughed at a thought "have you ever wonderd at how a horse would have sex?" i asked laughing hysterically. "how would it get up there!" i said laughing more,
My mum was shaking her head, while jeff and her mum were trying not to laugh "no you culd shake your head off and then it would be a spinny top DONT. SHAKE,YOUR. HEAD!" i yelled
There was a pinnaple on the table along with other fruit that the hospital have and i gaspoed "spoingebob!" i said taking the pinapple "Spongebob can you hear me!2 i yelled to the pinapple,
"SPONGEBONB!" i yelled and my mum took the pinapple "your nbot 23 anymore!" she said and i frowned "meanie!" i said and she shook her head,
"im so sorry about this!" she said and Jeff smiled "its fine im use to the fchild inside!" she said and my mum nodded "yes even after 28 years of knowing Sawyer im still not use to the fact she has spiderman pyjamas!" she said and folded my arms ,
"spiderman sucks, supermans better!2 i said and Jeff laughed "but your entire bedroom is designed around spiderman!" "oh sweet mary jesus!2 my mother mumbled, i just stuck my tongue out at Jeff who smiled and shook her head,
"Sawyer behave!2 my mum said and i looked at ehr scared "keave me alone you bumvble bee dont touch me!" i said and she looked at me shocked "Sawyer calm down!" she said and i poked her nose,
"spongy!" i said and she sighed "when will it ware off?2 Jeff asked and her mum shrugged "not sure and she has that meeting tomorrw!" my mum said as i continued to poke her nose laughing lightly,
My mum left with teh fact she had to continue around the hospital. Jeff's mum soon left not long after leaving me with Jeff alone.
"you okay?" she asked and i nodded smiling widely "im fine!" i said as the nurse came in "alright Miss your free to go!" she said and Jeff smiled.
I let her get dressed as i waited outside for her. She opened the door in some sweats and a krutch smiling at me.
I offered her my arm and she smiled "hsdall we go?" i asked and she nodded "how about you, you ready?" i qasked her stomach and she laughed "were ready!" she said and i nodded "lkets go Ma'am and.... person!" i said and she laughed,
We walked to my car and Jeff got in the passenger seat. I drove us home in comfortable silence. I helped Jeff up the stairs and we went in my apartment,
"i think im going to go to bed im pretty tired!" she said adn i nodded. I thought i'd go to bed aswell so once i got into my pyjamas i fell asleep for the night.
