"This is brilliant!" James beamed, throwing his arms around Asteria's and Sirius' shoulders as he walked in between them down to the quidditch stands."You sure change moods quickly." Asteria mumbled under her breath as James grinned widely at Sirius. It had been a week since Sirius had admitted his relationship with Asteria to James and ever since then, James had been a permanent third wheel. Not that Asteria minded, she was growing fond of the boy but it did make things awkward when he would ramble on about Lily.
"Get your arm off me!" Sirius shoved James away, "And get your arm off her!" He tugged James towards him again and away from Asteria.
"I'm just saying, the three of us have this secret now. You two are snogging all over the place, Lily said 'hi' to me this morning and we're going to crush Slytherin in today's match. That, all combined with my devilishly handsome good looks makes me the luckiest person alive." James nodded smugly, adjusting his robes as they three of them marched across the grounds."You going to go sit with Lily?" Sirius asked as they approached the roaring stands.
"She doesn't really watch the matches and I'm the enemy, remember?" Asteria tugged on the emerald and silver scarf wrapped around her neck."I thought I gave you my scarf to support me?" Sirius asked.
"It's here." Asteria lifted her green scarf up to reveal the red scarf below, hidden out of view."I think you're betraying us." James poked his head in on the conversation.
"As much as I want you guys to do well, I do kind of want my own house to win too." Asteria admitted with a half-shrug."Betrayal." James emphasised.
"Shut up." Sirius retorted."Are you betraying me now too?" James raised an eyebrow.
"I swear to god, James!" Sirius neared James threateningly, but with a huge grin plastered on his face."Looks like I'm going to find my seat." Asteria whispered to herself as James and Sirius broke out into a playful fight. She had disappeared up the stairs and out of view just as Sirius gained victory, holding James in a headlock.
Asteria tucked herself away at the back of the stands, sitting on the far row and out of view of most of the other students. She could just see down onto the grass where the team players were now huddling in the centre of the pitch. The Slytherin stands were packed with supporters as their house hadn't lost a quidditch match in several years. The same happened every year, Slytherin came in first with Gryffindor gaining a close second.
"Not sitting with the blood traitors today?" Avery sneered as he approached Asteria.
"Last time I checked I was in Slytherin." Asteria replied, keeping her gaze focussed forwards."It's only a matter of time now..." Avery mumbled to himself before harshly pushing past Asteria and disappearing into the crowd other students.
Asteria furrowed her eyebrows, thoroughly confused by what he had meant.
