Asteria looked around the vast room in awe. The ceilings were impossibly high and each wall was stacked to the top with all varieties of food and drink. The Hogwarts kitchens were unbelievable.

"I can't believe I've never been down here before." Asteria spun around on her feet, taking in the tremendous sight.
Sirius chuckled whilst watching her.

"Mister Sirius, sir, it's been ever so long." A small house elf suddenly apparated in front of Sirius and smiled up at him.

"Hello Blue." He greeted warmly, kneeling down to shake the house elf's hand.

The house elf blushed at this gesture, but took his hand nevertheless as to reject this offer would have been beyond rude.
"And you've brought a friend with you, sir. What can Blue get you?" Blue turned towards Asteria. He wore a single ragged, woollen, glove on one hand that appeared far too big for him and drew a contrast to the pillow case that drowned his frame.

"I'm Asteria. It's lovely to meet you." Asteria extended her own hand now and the house elf blushed even more furiously.
"Blue likes her very much." Blue turned to Sirius and nodded once.

"So do I." Sirius chuckled quietly.

"What did you say?" Asteria asked, looking over at him.
"Nothing. Just, we came down for a bit of cake. Happen to have any?" Sirius flashed his signature grin towards Asteria and Blue.

"Of course sir, anything for you." Blue nodded again and disapparated.

Asteria strolled over towards Sirius, "Why exactly do you have that house elf at your beck and call? How many times do you come down here?"
Sirius dug his hands into his pockets, "Free food and it's a great place to hide from teachers."

"And Blue just chooses to do whatever you say?" She raised an eyebrow.

"Why don't we sit down?" Sirius pulled out a chair at one of the few empty tables in the room. Asteria sat down opposite him, still narrowing her eyes.

"Why does he seem to like you so much?"
"I'm charming. What can I say? You've even admitted I am." Sirius smirked.
"Alright, fine. Don't tell me." Asteria folded her arms and turned away from him.

"Blue used to be a house elf for my grandparents. He hated to work for them and so... Last summer I tricked my grandmother into freeing him by giving him a glove. My grandparents are suspicious I did it but they can't prove it. Anyway, Blue's got a nice job here and he's happy so I don't care if they prove I did it." Sirius admitted quietly.

Asteria leaned forward now, "You know nobody's here, so nobody's listening. Even if someone was, why hide such a good act?"

Sirius pursed his lips but before he needed to answer, Blue apparated in front of them again. This time the small house elf was holding a large silver tray and perched on top was a chocolate cake, covered in rich icing and decorations.
