I woke up to the sound of my mom screaming my name, telling me breakfast is ready. Ugh, my alarm didn't even go off yet! I decided to sleep until my alarm goes off just to cherish the last 5 minutes.
*BEEP*BEEP*BEEP*BEEP*
I sat up on my bed and threw the damn thing across the room. I barely got any sleep last night due to the nervousness about my first day of school and waking up to the sound of this stupid alarm clock doesn't make it any better.
I jumped in the shower, washed my long brown hair, shaved my legs and hopped out, wrapping a towel around my wet body.
I walked up to my vanity table, sitting down in a chair in front of it. I plugged in my hair dryer to blow dry it. Next I plugged in my hair straightener and decided whether I should apply any makeup or not.
Today was a new day, I needed to have a good impression on people, especially since its my first day of a new school. After straightening my hair, I applied lip-gloss and a little mascara, which made my blue eyes pop out.
I recently moved here in California because I've always wanted to go to Chapels High. It's been in the family for a while, both my parents went and met each other there.
I then walked to my closet, picking out a floral cami top and a pair of denim shorts with a pair of white and black converse.
I felt cute to be honest. I quickly ran downstairs.
"Good morning honey." my mom said.
"Morning mom." I replied as I sat down to eat the breakfast my mom served me. I felt my stomach starting to hurt, I'm so nervous.
I decided to text Andrea, my best friend since I can remember, to tell her to save a seat for me in class. She moved here when she was about 8 but we kept contact through Skype and texting. We even met up a few times, and now I can finally be with her again.

Rushing into my English class, there was only one seat left, which was nowhere near Andrea's. This is what I get for being late. And why didn't Andrea save me a seat?
I sat down and looked at her to see she was already looking at me with an 'I'm sorry, I'll explain later' expression. She better have a good explanation.
I put my purse down on the floor next to me and looked around. Sitting on my left was a dude with blonde hair.
Behind me was a brown haired guy with plenty of tattoos. On my right was a girl. She was really pretty and had long blonde hair.
"blah blah blah notes blah blah blah." was what I heard from the teacher. I couldn't pay attention, I was really nervous under everyone's stare. I don't get why everyone was staring at me.
Do I have something on my teeth? Was my hair not in place? Was there a zit on my face? Ugh I'm starting to get paranoid!
Finally the bell rang, after what felt like forever, but was only an hour and a half. I grabbed my purse and ran up to Andrea.
"Hey, explain now?" I asked her. I would've been less paranoid if I was sitting next to her.
"Well, first off, let me just say I'm sorry. I was going to save you a seat, but you see that guy?" she said, pointing to a guy wearing black skinny jeans, a black shirt and a black leather jacket. "his name is Michael. He was telling me to sit with him and there was no other seats around me. I'm sorry, but can you not agree that he's attractive as heck?"
I agree, he's really attractive. "But friends before...whatever he is to you!" I playfully tell her. She laughed along with me and we walked towards the exit of the room.
Thankfully, we had all our classes together except one, the last one.
Our next class was History.

The day seemed so long, felt like it would never end. On the bright side, I made two new friends. Hope and Sierra.
I walked up to my car and offered Andrea a ride home since her parents drove her here. Her parents are really over-protective, but come on, she's graduating high school this year, she needs some freedom.
She agreed and I got in, putting the key in the ignition.
"Hey wanna stay over for a bit? We can get started on the history project and I'll drive you home later." I asked her.
We were assigned a project together in history. I have no idea what it's about though. I was too busy doodling in my notebook from boredom that I had no idea what the teacher said. But I wanted Andrea to stay mostly because I wanted to know what was up with her and that Michael guy.
"Yeah, sure. I have nothing to do at home anyways." she shrugged.
"Make sure to call and tell your parents or they'll go crazy worrying about you even though you're already 18." I joked.
"Shut up." she rolled her eyes at me, laughing.
I locked my car behind us and walked into my house.
Nobody was home. There was a note in the kitchen counter from my mom saying she's out to get groceries and that she'll be back soon.
I grabbed a snack for the two of us and we both went upstairs to my room.
"Wow, I love your room." she said, looking around my room with her mouth open wide.
"Thanks, but I'm thinking of redecorating it soon." I replied.
"Alright, so let's get started." I said and opened my backpack to get my books out. I looked through my purse in search of a pencil, but found something else....a red heart shaped origami with a note inside. I know for sure its not mine, who put this in my purse? And how?
