"Uh-oh." Luke frowns once we reach his car.
"The keys aren't there?" I ask.
"No the keys are here, but..." he stops mid-sentence.
"But...?" I ask then realize what he's talking about.
"Oh." the windows are pulled all the way up, leaving no space to even get our hands through to get the keys out.
"We can just take my car and you can come get yours tomorrow?" I offer.
"Uh, yeah, just one problem...my home keys are in there as well." he states, pacing back and forth.
Great. Now what?
"Could I...maybe.." he stutters as if reading my mind and I raise an eyebrow.
"Do you think...maybe I could...uhm..." more stuttering. He's trying hard to get the words out of his mouth, looking really nervous.
"Spend the night at your place?" he finishes quickly, biting his lip.
Somehow I saw this coming. I don't know how my parents would feel about this, about me bringing a random boy with tattoos and piercings home when he's not even my boyfriend. It's not like they'd let me bring my boyfriend home either, but that's not the point. To be honest, I don't know how I myself feel about this. I mean I've only known this guy for a week or so but it feels like I've known him longer. I don't even know if I can trust him or not but I feel like I can.
"If that isn't a problem...I mean I don't really know anyone here, except few random people and Ashton, but they're drunk and Ashton's nowhere to be seen and I..." he quickly adds, looking towards the zombie looking people.
"I wouldn't trust them either." I cut him off, still looking at him.
"But yeah I guess....I'm not sure how my parents will feel about this though." I inform him.
After what happened with Logan, my parents became a lot more protective over me hanging out with guys.
"I can hide in the closet." he playfully said, a smile forming on his plump lips.
"Ha-ha, well I can explain to my parents since you really have nowhere else to go." I say and we both head towards the car.
"Let me drive." he requested once we reached my car and I gave him a confused look.
"Please..." he added and slipped in the drivers seat before I could say anything.
"What? No, I'm driving." I say.
"Just give me the keys, it's not like I don't know where you live." he said, holding out his hand.
"Oh, yeah about that, how exactly did you know where I live?"
"Oh...just give me the keys!"
Is he trying to dodge the question? How could he have possibly known where I live?
"Okay fine, if you can take it, you can drive." I tease and tried turning away but Luke was fast enough to grab me back by the wrist and pull me towards to face him.
Our faces are now inches apart, eyes locked. I want to look away, but I am hypnotized by his gorgeous blue eyes. They are very captivating.
When he let's go of me, I notice the keys weren't in my hands anymore. He somehow managed to get them from me without letting me find out. He smirked and thanked me while dangling the keys in front of me.
Clever, I thought to myself as I looked down while I started walking around the car to the passenger's side.
"So did you like the little tour? I mean, it wasn't really a tour because we didn't have enough time, but maybe I can show you around some other time?" he says, breaking the awkward silence between us.
"Uhm, yeah. I'd like that." I answer quietly.
The rest of the ride is quiet and the ride to my house seems longer than it actually is. I change the radio station and stop when the song from last night fills the car. I think this is my new favorite song at the moment. As I start to move my head to the rhythm, I see Luke shifting uncomfortably in his seat and I ignore it.
Five minutes later, we are pulling up to my driveway. All the lights in the house are out, meaning my parents are asleep. Great, now how am I supposed to explain to them?
"Thank you so much for letting me stay here." Luke says and hands me my keys back.
"No problem." I reply, knowing very well that this is a big problem. I walk up to my door, unlock it, and try to find the light switch.
"There's probably some food in the..." I start.
"Oh, no I'm not really hungry. Thank you though." he cuts me off.
"Suit yourself." I shrug and take a cookie from the cookie jar.
"The guest room is down the hall, to the right. Its near the dinning area." I inform him and head upstairs to my bedroom before he could say anything else.
