I have competed in science fair a LOT.
My very first year I was super duper nervous and freaked out.
When my first judge came up to me, he held out his hand for me to shake.
I messed up.
Since this is a bit complicated and includes some simple theoretical physics, I have prepared a presentation with pictures for you to follow along.
1. He sticks out his RIGHT hand
2. This would be the opportune moment for me to do the same; ie; extend my right hand and grasp his, like so:
3. Resulting in this holy union:
4. Now THIS is where it gets exciting. Me, being the flustered, frightened, confused, overwhelmed, scared little girl that I was (and am), stuck out my LEFT hand (this is the important part, pay close attention)
5. This single action resulted in, rather than the glorious coupling presented earlier, an unspeakably abominable creation. I couldn't even find any pictures to depict it, so horrendous was the act.
I grabbed his right hand with my left hand and shook it.
It was so wrong. So, so wrong and just... *sighs*
And after that I just gave my presentation.
That poor judge was probably so confused and overwhelmed.
Moral of the Story: Life is much, much more entertaining when you're sleep deprived and nervous.
HUGs and KISSes,
