FROM THE SHADOWS

CHAPTER 6: run

The sirens wailed loudly,
Lucy looks up from her pool. As does Wallace his bed. "Nmnmmmmhgh- whAT IS IT-" Wallace whines out turning over
"Maybe a storm siren-? I've never heard it-"
Than a montain shaking bark came from outside the cave. Wallace shot up, hitting his head on the top one "OW-", his roar in pain seemed to attract something. A large black dog, drooling with its ugly overbite, and shaggy fur, it seemed to be a hell hound, but it had gems replacing its eyes
Ruby's
Wallace gasps at the monstrous creature as it climbs in. Not as big as wallace, but still huge. It growls, and than lunges towards wallace, snarling its ugly fangs.
Wallace grabbed it and violently threw it to the cave wall. It barked, causing the cave to shake, wallace decides to throw him out the cave,

"YIP!"
it hits the ground with a painful thud. Its dead. But that's not the end "LUCY! OVER HERE NOW! WE HAVE TO ESCAPE!"
Lucy nods, getting ready to leave.
But stops, as behind wallace.
A dragon pink in tone. With a ruby face, wings, horns claws and tail lands at the edge
"Hello-" she spoke. Wallace shot around, starring into her lifeless gold eyes
"Didn't I catch you once?  Where's your skull?" Wallace shook with fear, he looks at Lucy, who hid in the pool. Probably best, it would be horrible is she was killed
"Anywho. I was sent to find you. To bad you smell like a dead cow, anyone could find you. And of course you go for the closest kingdom" she steps forward. Claws tapping on the ground "not the best idea. Makes it waaay easy to find you-" her spiked tail sways behind her. As she grows closer "now, I'm here to take you back" she grabbed wallace by the horns, he than roars "NEVER!!!" He claws at her chest, she backs up, and stares at  Wallace "big mistake-" she slashes wallaces chest as well, same spot. Blood shot everywhere. Even the pool,  "is that blood?!" Lucy thought as she quickly swam up. To see wallace. Bleeding horribly.
Her friend, she growls. Her sweet little eyes turn into sinister slits. And she shows her sharp teeth, she ran towards the guard
And attacked her, she was to small for the guard to reach. So she got little, but painful bites. She eventually bites a paralyze point at her neck.  Than, somehow. She steers her out the cave. Into the water. Lucy can't fly here, she starts to freak out, her gills arent getting enough water, nor her lungs air, she passes out.
When she wakes up. She finds herself on Sky's back. With Yuki, and Gamice carrying Wallace "wh- OH MY GOSH!!" Lucy shot up, shaking.  "Is Wallace okay?!"
Gamice smiles "yup- we patched him up" Wallace had bandages around his chest
"Oh- that's good. I couldn't cope with him dying-"
Sky looks back "yes, even though I just recently met him. I'd have troubles too if he died, though. He won't. He's fine-"
"That's good- where are we?"
They seemed to be in a forest, trees orange with the autumn leaves "a forest, of course" Yuki calls out, shaking under Wallaces weight
"Well yeah- but where are we going?"
"Away. We can't risk staying at the kingdom anymore, with the ruby's after you. So we're moving. Far far away,"
"What about everyone else?"
"Were the only ones on land, cause Wallace. Everyone else is in the sky. Xavier is flying around as well, making sure everyone follows."
Lucy looks up, to see Razken and a few other of the queens royal servants
"Ooooh!, well. I think I can fly!'
"Go ahead, I'm not stopping you"
Lucy smiles slight, she flies up, but before she takes off. She flaps to wallace and hugs, than flies off.
She flies to Ren and Razken "ello!"
Ren looks at her, scales reddening slight "hello- whys the queen down there?"
"To make sure Wallace is okay!"
"Ah-"
"Yeah, kinda fun!" She smiles spinning slight
Razken looks at the two and chuckles "well. I don't see how its much fun-" he says quietly "she's basically making sure he doesn't slip from life's grasp"
"Eh,  good point." She lands on Razken "how long has it been?"
"All night, almost all day"
"Ooohh!"
"Yeah, but I mean whatever."
As night falls everyone lands, and huddles up for sleep. Wallace is awake now. But still tired as usual
Lucy runs to Him and lays down in his fur. Getting warm. Ren comes to lay with her. Causing wallace great discomfort.
Ran hugs Lucy, than they all fall asleep.
Come daytime, dragons are already on the move the queen wakes the three up "come on guys!  Almost there!" She smiles running off, Wallace weakly gets up. Ren and lucy run in front of him, the two wyverns talking and such.
Wallace got to following the group. Slowly. But still following. Hours and hours they walk, past big interesting trees, and animals never seen by dragon. Lucy points out cool plants  and animals she knows. Razken points out ancient facts about the forest, such as being filled with dragonappers, which freaked lucy out at first, until he clarified most of their angered souls are at rest now.
They pass ancient statutes and pillars. The queen shouts "we're here!!!"
Its an ancient library. Covered in moss, and has a tree growing from the outside and sliding inside. The thing is huge, almost bigger than the castle at the sapphire kingdom. Its books were dusty, torn, worn down and mystic looking. Glow worms lived in each bookshelf, and there was a moss covered dragon statute, reading a book
"Wow!!! This is so pretty!" Lucy shouts
"Yup!  And its our new home!" Sky replies
Wallace looks around. And finds an old cushion and lays in it. Other dragons filled in. Laying after a long journey. Some napping, some reading. It seems they found a new home.
