Chapter 5

Samuel P.O.V

I looked around the hallways wondering if I would see her today. I knew we weren't going to have biology together, that had been yesterday, today was different classes. But I knew that we both had the same gym period together, even if it wasn't with the same coach I had the slight hope of seeing her again in the same room.

It was raining really hard again today, I was surprised they didn't cancel school because of the thunder. I knew everyone would be forced inside again, meaning gym class would be held inside, which made me somewhat excited, maybe I would get to see Bria before lunch time.

I wanted to ask her to have lunch with me again. For some weird reason, I was attracted to her. A lot. Well, more than a lot, I really couldn't stop thinking about her. It was crazy, I barely knew her and I already wanted to spend every second I could with her!

I needed to know if she was a shifter, my wolf wanted her, he wanted to mate with her the second her scent hit my nose the first day I saw her in the hallways. For some strange reason though, I hadn't mated with her immediately after seeing her in class the next day.

When two wolfs mate its almost within a matter of seconds, they say its unexplainable, the chemistry that just forces you to bond with a complete stranger in just mere seconds of making eye contact. A little scary if you ask me, but also exciting. You found your partner for life, the one who you would die for. It's reassuring to know you won't grow old by yourself.

I knew I wanted her, I needed her actually. She made me feel, like I had a purpose. My purpose was to make her happy, to protect her, to take care of her. So how come we hadn't mated? I doubted she was a human, if she was then there would be no way I would feel this insanely attracted to her.

Humans and shifters almost never mated, it was completely rare. According to this new pack there had only been two cases ever recorded of where a shifter and a human mate. And that's the old Alpha and his mate, and now the new Alpha who runs the pack and his wife who is a human.

I didn't know what was going on, I couldn't just ask Bria if she was a wolf. And if she was a human? We weren't allowed to tell normal human beings of our existence, they'd hunt us down, loosing in the process of course, we're ten times stronger, but they would never stop trying to hurt us. Humans feared what they didn't understand.

Still, I was pretty sure Bria wasn't just a human, she was slightly warmer than one thats for sure. I prayed to the Gods that she was at least half a shifter, if she was then I could work with that. They say half shifters are still able to mate, it just takes longer, according to the legends that is. Some half shifters never end up mating, others do, I guess it just depends on fate.

All I knew, was that I wanted her for me.

I didn't see her all morning in school, but I knew she was here, I had caught glimpses of her scent around, it was like if her scent now stuck out for me, I was able to pick it up much more easier.

I really hoped I would see her in gym class. I dont think I would be able to stand it if I didnt see her all day today. Yesterday I had been having a great time with her, until her friend took her away from me. I had tried looking for her after school but the rain made it harder for me to catch her scent outside.

Thunder roared through the ceilings, making me frown slightly, shit, they were supposed to present my dad today at a pack meeting. He had just taken the job offer as the new pack doctor and the Alpha wanted to introduce him. I wondered if that would still go on or get canceled? If the introduction was still on for today then that meant that the whole pack had to go, and that meant I would get to see if Bria was a shifter or not.
