I sat nervously across from Sam. I tried not to show my nerves, but the boy just made me feel all jittery. Like if I had just drank ten cans of soda and now wanted to jump from excitement throughout the whole room.

I watched as his eyes roamed around the menu, after the pack meeting he had asked if I wanted to join him for some food. At first I declined, I didn't want to eat, but he's so stubborn, he literally pleaded getting louder and louder for everyone in the room to hear until I finally said yes. I didn't want his dad thinking I didn't like him or something.

We were in a tiny restaurant not far from the woods, there wasnt many people in here so it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves.

Sam pursued his lips, "I think I want the double cheeseburger, what about you?" he put down his menu and looked up at me expectantly.

I forced my eyes away from his face, I hadn't even bothered opening the menu, "Oh, I haven't even looked," I said immediately looking for the thing that had the least amount of calories. I had to be careful around him, if I didn't at least eat something then he'd start questioning me again and I honestly had no energy for that.

I saw him smile in amusement as he waited for me to pick something, "Ummm...I think I'll have the Cesar salad" I finally picked. He scrunched his nose, "A salad? Seriously?" he grinned.

"What," I rolled my eyes.

"I don't know, don't tell me that you're the type of girl that loves salads" he said.

"And what's wrong with that?" I demanded.

He sat up smiling more "Nothing at all, I'm just saying you don't look like the type of girl who loves salads" he shrugged.

I rolled my eyes again "That makes no sense at all," I said.

"Are you sure you want that?" he asked. No, I hate salads, I'm so tired of lettuce. I'm surprised I'm not a freaking bunny by now.

"Yes," I said firmly, although my eyes were still scanning the menu, I found myself fantasizing sightly about the cheesecake with raspberries. My eyes got all wide when I saw all the desserts, the chocolate fudge cake with vanilla ice cream sounded incredible too!

I sighed and closed the menu, I couldn't remember the last time I had chocolate. I looked up to see Sam staring at me, I flickered my eyes away, jeez what was up with him? "What's wrong?" he asked gently.

"Nothing," I smiled.

He reached out for my hands and I automatically took them, "Thank you for coming," he said holding my hands gently in his. It felt so natural, like if we had done this little action many times before. At once I felt calm, like if I had never been nervous before.

I had to smile, "Well you basically forced me, but you're welcome" I half joked.

He smiled proudly, "Hey, it was the only way to get you to come with me," he said.

"By force!" I laughed.

"Sadly, I can't rely on my good looks anymore," he faked hurt.

I pulled my hands away "Looks like you're loosing your touch there Samuel" I said as the waiter came over to take our order.

Sam ordered his double cheeseburger which sounded freaking amazing, while I ordered my lame salad. "And two cokes please," he added.

"Water for me," I interrupted, he gave me a little funny look "I don't like soda," I explained.
