Dragon Days

Day 4:The New Arrivals

   "I'm so sorry LittleLizard I thought you guys were the Fire Nation coming to kill us." "Its OK, things like that happen. I just wish my nose will stop bleeding." There was nothing wrong with that request. Already there was a small puddle of blood forming on the hard stone floor.

   Moonlight and Forest were looking curiously at it. Which was cute and funny at the same time. It looked like they were scientists trying to figure out what it was. They were daring each other to try it but chicken out at the last second.

   For the fifth time in three minutes I had to change his leaves. The old ones were completely covered in blood and was really gross. I never knew a pot did so much. It knocked him out and gave him a never ending bloody nose.

   TinyTurtle and ScubaSteve told us the entire story while LittleLizard slept. We decided to go with them. I will ride with LittleLizard and Shadow Fury, his Aztec Night Fury, while Luna is riding with TinyTurtle and Burnt. LittleLizard thought it was best because of our new dragons.

   We gathered everything of need and left. The scenery flew by under us while the wind danced with our hair. We flew to the destroyed wall that TinyTurtle saw. He was right it completely destroyed.

   The boys landed the dragons and took a closer look. Luna and me stayed on the dragons. I felt exposed to the jungle creatures. I could tell Moonlight felt the same way. At least in the cave system I could get my enemy lost. Out here, there was no where to run.
I took out my dagger and held it close to me. I felt a little safer, but not much. I was about to hop off when Moonlight jumped out of my lap and ran into the jungle.

    "Moonlight!" I jumped off and ran after her. "Phoenix!" LittleLizard broke away from the others and chased after me. But I was gone.

   I saw something move from the corner of my eye. When I looked at it, there was nothing there. I watched that spot out of the corner of my eye and it appeared that the shadows had their own life. It looked like they were beckoning something or someone in.

   Just then Moonlight, my bestest friend in the world, jumped from Auntie's lap and ran into the shadows. Auntie yelled and ran after her. Then Bloody yelled and ran after them. Soon everyone was running after them. Even the strange lizard rock and fish man got on their dragons and chased them.

   I was unlucky to have to have to sit behind Lizard Rock. He smelled of rotten food and dead things. It took all my energy not to throwdarke.Just then I was hit with a brilliant idea. I jumped off and I ran after Moonlight

   As I ran through the jungle, I called for Moonlight. I found her having a feast with a lizard family. She patted the spot next to her. "Join us Forest." "OK." I sat down next to her and tried a reddish pink berry. It was delicious. "The lizards call that a rapbarry."

   I stuffed as many as I could in my mouth. Until Moonlight gave me something else. "Its a fich." I ate all the rapbarries in my mouth and tried the fich. It was even better than the rapbarries.
I had to bite myself to see if I was dreaming.

   "Then there is this." Moonlight handed me something else. It was slippery and gooey like a worm, but kind of smooth yet scaly at the same time. "It is called an EEK! They are supposedly gross. Want to try it with me?" "Of course!" We both tried it at the same time and I almost lost my poor tummy.

   It was the worst thing I have ever tasted. I ate more fich to get rid of the taste. Once it was gone I grabbed Moonlight with my tail. "Its time to go back to Mommy and Auntie. Goodbye lizards." After we left we found Auntie and brought her back to the pile of rocks.

   Moonlight was getting a scolding when I proudly climbed on top of Burnt. "So you brought Moonlight back." "Yes." "What took her." "Shadows." "OK, cool." Mommy was happy I was back. "You are a hero Forest! You brought Moonlight back!" And I was happy. My friend was safe and I am getting lots of praise.

   It was another good day.

I am so happy Forest brought Moonlight and me back to the wall. When we got back, all I could do is chide Moonlight and then collect some firewood. Once done, Moonlight and me, sat down and leaned against Shadow Fury. We sat and watched everyone run around and do stuff. Everything seemed to speed up and get darker and darker. The fire might be ablaze but I couldn't tell cause everything was darke. (If you get my Septimus Heap reference, your my new best friend. Don't worry, something is going to happen.)
