Katniss POV
It's been a week since I moved into my new compartment, the doctor found another person to give Peeta blood, and I still haven't seen him. Haymitch tells me he's doing better, with the new blood in his system, his heart can relax itself a little more. When I asked when he would wake up they said the percentage that he will has increased. But that was it.
I still haven't had the guts to talk to my mother about that night when Haymitch was comforting her, she listens to me go on and on about Peeta but never says anything.
My baby is due in four weeks, which means it's getting harder and harder for me to move around without the help of others. I'm dependent and I hate it. I hate having to be helped by others, I want to do everything myself.
Haymitch has to help me put my shoes on, every day he comes into my room at 8:30 AM before breakfast is served out in the cafeteria.
Usually, after I eat I retreat to this large tree that overlooks the ocean. For peace and quiet. At that time in the morning, few people are on the beach.
Sometimes I get all the crying out for the day, sometimes I sleep, other times I just stare, not thinking, my mind blank.
Every day, I recap my day and write it on a piece of paper to tell Peeta what I did that day, helps motivate me to keep my day interesting. Yesterday I wrote,
Dear Peeta,
Today is Saturday, which means they let you pick one extra item from the food line, unlike last week when I picked an apple, I decided to spice it up a bit today and get a coffee along with my usual water. News flash, it's still as horrible as it was when we tried it on the train, I do not recommend. Pick something better, trust me. After breakfast, I went to my tree and watched these two birds on the cliff, they looked to be arguing. My mind made up a story for them. The whiter one's name, his name was Bill and the darker one was named Lisa. Lisa had moved her wings angrily at Bill for about five minutes now and Bill had done nothing in response. Lisa had found out that Bill had cheated on her with the much hotter and younger bird named Cassie. I hope Lisa learns to love again. Then I went down to the lounge and played chess with Haymitch, which took him a long time to explain since I had no idea how to play. He told me you and him used to play a lot. I'm pretty good myself. We'll have to play. My mom now works as a nurse here, she just started her job today. The baby is good, I have my check-up tomorrow so I will tell you more about that tomorrow. Only four weeks until we are parents! I really miss ya Mellark. Hope to talk soon. I love you so much. And that's real. I hope you're dreaming good dreams in that ICU of yours.

My check-up is in about an hour and my wristwatch will beep when it's time.
Because I'm an important person I guess, they gave me, Johanna, Haymitch, and a bunch of other people these watches that tell us when we are needed when events are going to start.
I haven't been listening to it for most of it, most of its just meetings I don't care about and if they really needed me there they'd come to find me or send Haymitch to get me.
I fall asleep and wake up to my watch screaming at me. I climb down from the tree and head back to the building in which I live. I pass my room and head to the hospital. I turn and go to the waiting room area and sit down next to Johanna.
Johanna has been doing well, all her wounds have healed and she has been discharged from the hospital a week ago. She goes with me to all my checkups along with Haymitch. Well it's only been like that since the one last week.
