c h a p t e r 11.

Week 2, day 3

Jiyeon~

"What's up with you and Felix?" Hyunjin whispered to me as we sat at our usual lunch table in the cafeteria.

"Not right now- not in front of my salad." I told him while actually eating.

Felix and I haven't made any eye contact at all today. It's been super awkward, since his seat is literally right beside mine in almost every class- and even now in lunch, he's seating only a few chairs away from me.

"Hey." Jennie greeted as she sat beside me with a tray of food in her hands.

No one dared to talk during lunch time, including Hyunjin, Jisung, Seungmin and Jeongin- it was hella awkward.

"Have you guys packed for our trip yet?" Seungmin gleefully broke the silent, thank goodness.

"I have." Jeongin beamed as he thought of the hot springs.

"I have too." Jennie told Seungmin, and so did Hyunjin and Jisung. I guess it's really just me and Felix who haven't packed yet...

It hasn't even been a day yet, and I already want to talk to him.

Felix~

I think my last plan really didn't work out well- this time, I'm ready to fight hard and dirty.

Screw the rules.

Rule nine, a fair competition.

Broken.

Jiyeon~

I knocked on the door to Felix's dorm, but I wasn't greeted by him- it was Chan.

"Can I talk to Felix?" I asked him, while he let me in.

"Go ahead, he's in his room" he suddenly stopped for a bit, but then his eyes grew wide. "Oh yeah! And there's some girl in his room. I don't know her though."

"Girl?" I was a bit in shock, so I quickly ran to his room and opened the door without even knocking.

It's Felix and Jennie.

Making out.

They looked back at me and said things like "let me explain", "it's not like what it looks", "you just came at the wrong time", blah blah blah.

All their excuses were as shitty as them.

"Unbelievable." I muttered under my breath, and quickly walked out of that dorm. I heard someone walking behind me while I quickly walked out of the building, so I finally looked back.

"Are you okay?" Chan asked, while putting an arm on my shoulder to comfort me.

"I'm fine..." I mumbled while trying to hold back my tears.

"Oh yeah... aren't you dating some girl? Was that her? I now get why you're upset." Asks Chan.

"Yeah, I'm dating her... but I'm not upset because of her- if any of what I just said made any sense."

"I don't get it. Explain?" Chan blankly stared at me. I can trust him- he's almost like a big brother to me.

"Well, I like Felix... I'm dating Jennie because I like him- well he doesn't know that. Felix and I made up a stupid deal, saying that whoever she falls in love with by the end of this month, gets to keep her..." I continued on explaining the rules, and also the reason why I'm doing it. "Felix told me that he loved me... but I really had a lot of doubts. I thought that he wasn't playing fair- so what I just saw earlier really made everything clear. His confession to me was all just fake, and that's why I'm so upset. He hurt me to get what he wants."

"That is unfair, I'm really disappointed in him..." Chan suddenly hugged me and shooed to stop me from crying, as if I was a baby. "You two are so immature. It's obvious that you both really love each other- not just friends."

"It was just me the whole time..."

"I don't think so. I saw you two grow up together, and it's not just friendship. It wasn't just you- it was him too."

"He wants to destroy me," I looked down on the ground and suddenly felt horrible; "he already did."

"Tell him then."

"Never. I'm too scared and it's obvious that he's head over heals for Jennie. I'm not even gonna try- I'll just hurt and make a fool out of myself. It's not worth the risk." I fiddled with my fingers as I comfortably talked with Chan. He's really such an amazing and understanding person.

"End the deal then."

Week 2 day 4

Jiyeon~

Last day of school this week, finally. We have no school tomorrow because there's some meeting for the teachers- so yay, long weekend for us.

I was about to shut my locker close, when I suddenly felt someone tap my back. With that little amount of strength from a poke- I already know who it is.

"Can we talk after school? Alone." Jennie looked me straight in the eyes, with the most serious expression on her face ever.

"Yeah, I guess."
