I was woken up out of my sleep by hearing my door swing open and Nika running into my room. I frowned looking at her. I had an interview this morning and it went well, but I got up hella early for it, so I was taking a nap.

"Guess what bitch!" She said chearfully.

"What?" I asked looking at her.

She lifted her hand up to show 5 thick stacks of money. My eyes grew wide looking at all that money and I already knew what she had done.

"You fucked him?" I asked.

"Yup and he gave me 5 stacks." She said handing the money to me.

"Why are you handing it to me?" I asked.

"Thats for taking the rap for me. Of course I'm going to get the money for my sis in crime." She smiled.

"What about Every one else?" I asked.

"Look stop asking so many questions. All you need to know is I got you 5 stacks. Now I'm about to go. I gotta go see my babies." She said before leaving quickly.

That was funny. She rarely sees her kids and she gave me all the money she made off Raul. Where was the money for her?

My phone rang. I looked to see it was Dawn calling.

"Hey." I said after answering.

"Hey. I wanted to askyou something." She said.

"Sure go ahead."

"My office is being renovated so can our next meeting be at your place?" She asked.

"Yeah sure." I said feeling excited inside. She gabe me butterflies.

"Alright well I'll meet you there on Wednsday. But the way, do you by any chance know anything about Raul Vazquez?" She asked.

Why would she be asking that?

"No. I don't know him. Only what I hear in the streets." I told her.

"And whats that?"

"He's dangerous as hell and working with some rich guy to do money laundering." I said. "But thats only what I hear. It may not even be true." I told her.

"A rich guy?" She asked instead of acknowleging everything I said.

"Mhm. I don't know who. But someone said they go everywhere together. Like they business partners." I said laying back down.

"Hmm okay. Well I'll hit you up later. I got some stuff to do." She said.

"Alright bye." I hung up.

That was weird. Why was Dawn concerned about Raul? Did she know something that I didn't? Did she know about Nika messing around with him? For my sake and Nika's sake I hoped not.

There's no telling what Raul would do to her if he thought she tipped the police off to him.

Hopefully Dawn would lay off or else we were all in danger.

Maybe I made a mistake asking those questions. The last thing I need is for Karina to shut down on me. She's supposed to trust me and be able to talk to me so I can help her if she needs it not thidnk I'm out to get her or anyone else in trouble. I just hope I didn't scare her with that or anything.

I just want to be in the know. I'm not sure why, but I just do. Maybe it was a bad idea, but shit everyone makes mistakes.

"Baby I'm going to work, I'll talk to you in a few." Rachel said rushing past me.

"But you was at work earlier toda-" before I could finish, she closed the door. I sighed and stared at the wall.

I'm not gonna lie, sometimes I do get lonely being with Rachel. She works a lot and when she's here she either wants to argue about me quitting my job or she's planning some event. There are few days out of the month when I get to just chill with her.

Maybe thats why I find myself attracted to Karina so much. She's just...there. I really think thats what it is. Maybe if I can get Rachel to stay home these feelings will go away.
