Aaron's POV

The sky has dimmed, and the stars have started to reveal themselves beneath the coat of the night sky.

Isaac's golden eyes widened in bewilderment as he met my grey ones. His lips continued to tremble and move as if he was trying to say something which words are still in a desperate hunt. His cheeks began to turn into a color redder than any blush he's managed to portray so far as he lifted the back of his hand to his lips, trying to hide his expression.

He moved a step back, causing his chin to slip away from my fingers.

Isaac's POV

My eyes met his gaze so piercing it sent strange chills down my spine. Absorbing almost every bit of what he's said, I felt a weird sensation rush through my veins. A sudden heat rose to my face and thinking it might do me no good, I lifted the back of my hand to my face in an attempt to block his view of my rather shameful look.

He's been... thinking of such things about me?

I took a shaky step back and kept my eyes on Aaron's feet for I was unable to muster even the least courage to look him in the eye.

"Hey..", he called out to me in a voice that made me shiver.

"Stop..", I breathed and gave him one last trembling look in the eye. "Get away from me..", I softly said and left the backyard in an attempt to leave for the balcony. I ran and ran, and in the middle of it all, I came across a bathroom which I stepped foot into and leaned against its wooden door which I closed behind my back. In the middle of the catch for breath, I looked down and turned redder.

Ah.. I'm such a pervert.

..When did I get so hard..?

Aaron's POV

I made my way back to the balcony and saw the girls answering the activity paper.

"Aaron, welcome back!", Alicia lifted herself from her seat and ran to me.

"It's already getting late. Why don't you have your dinner here?", I suggested. Iris turned her eyes to me from all her answering. "Are you sure it's alright?"

"Don't be like that, Iris!", Alicia snaked her arms around mine. "Of course, it's alright". Ah, this girl's been so clingy ever since we became groupmates.

Diverting my gaze to the empty seats around the table where one was occupied by Diane, I noticed the absence of Isaac. "Hasn't Isaac returned yet?"

"No", Iris replied while answering. "He excused himself after getting a call. He hasn't returned since then". I studied the area and noticed his bag was still sitting on the seat which he used so, of course, he couldn't have left. I palmed my face. Who knows? That kid always does the unthinkable.

The door to the balcony creaked opened as a blonde head popped up.

"Speak of the devil", Alicia grinned. I turned to the door and saw Isaac entering, sweat coursing from his temples down to this cheeks. Seems like he went for a run or something.

"Why do you look so spent, Isaac?", Alicia turned to him.

"I.. I got lost in the place", he chuckled apologetically as he scratched the back of his head.

"I see" Alicia replied showing not much interest and held my arm. "You know, Aaron said we can have dinner here. Isn't that great?"

"U-uh..", his eyes wanders on the ground. "I need to get back home immediately. I need to review for the upcoming exam-"

"Oh, come on!", Alicia pulls him to her. "The exam's still a week away, you need not fret! Besides, it's just dinner we'll be having here".

"She's right", I added, making him look up at me. "It's just dinner". He looks away and goes to his seat beside Iris.

"There's only one item left", I heard Iris say to him. "I can do it on my own".

"I'll help you", he replied.

We finished answering the homework and I had dinner delivered to my room. We held a light conversation over dinner and Isaac kept on avoiding my glances the entire time. How convenient.

"Thank you for the dinner, Aaron!", Alicia bid her farewell as her car rode off.

Iris bowed to me, "Thank you for accomodating us in this event, Aaron. Sorry for any inconvenience we might have unknowingly caused".

"Everything's fine. Thank you for your time, too".

"It's been an honor", she politely smiles before she proceeds to her car. After her driver closes the door and turns on the engine, Iris made her way back home. I watched their cars as they disappeared down the road leading outside the gate. As I made my way back to the house, I saw, in the corner in my eye, Isaac, trying to silently tiptoe away.

"Rude!", I called out to him, making him jump in surprise. He hasn't gone too far from the main door so I walked to him and opened up a conversation. "You could've at least told me you're leaving".

"I-I'll take my leave now..", he said without turning to me, and resumed on walking while holding unto his bag which he wore around his shoulders. I grabbed his bag, making him almost lose his balance. He swiftly turned to me with his cheeks already gone red. "Damn you, let go of my bag!"

"Hey, you're-"

"Shut it!", he pouted angrily. "Just...think about what to make of my final debt". He points a finger at me, "And keep your fantasies to yourself!", and sprinted away.

Ah.

I ruffled my hair and looked up at the sky. What's this?

I can't help but smile like a stupid idiot.

I guess I'm really interested in him, after all.
